hi all well i got a phone call yesterday morning at 8.50am from the hospital to get up there as quick as i could because my dad had not got long left..i got there by 9.20 but he had already passed away at 9.00 may 8th 2010.im a bit sad that i was not there for his last few moments but i was there the day before.although we did not speak for years i will miss him greatly basically he was a old hippy.he loved growing his pot & was a great guitar make which ive kept one that he made & a packet of k.c.brains brash k.c seeds which i will grow out in his honour..i just wish we could have put our differences aside whilst he was alive but we didnt .i hope he is looking down on me with a joint in one hand & a smile on his face that,s how i will remember him.

good by dad i will always love you ill see you again when my time come.

well if he was an old hippie,then he is in that place we all hope is there an after life with none of the pressures or responsibilitys of life,I know how you feel though,I was so mad at my old man I never cared to make o.k. with him,now as a grandfather(2) and father of 7,I sure wish I would have,but if they are really able to watch us from this place,your dad and mine I hope,can see and listen to how much we regret not getting along as adults,and I know they are proud of us now,your Dad knows you loved yourself and your family enough to put down the drugs and become a man ,husband,and great son because you did it for you first,nothing wrong with that,may you and yours be blessed in the knowledge that he knew you you were doing your best,Peace to you and yours,Ron Hudson

I am truly sorry for your loss! it is very sad that you guys couldnt put your differences aside earlier in life, but you were able to find a place of peace and you were able to be there for him in his time of need, to me that is what true love is! You got the phone call and went, some in your situation wont make that choice or even some out there got the same phone call and decided to pass altogether!

But you my friend did a wonderful and honorable thing! You know have some Good times to remember your dad by and not just a past full of angst and disappointment.

Let your dads memory live on; by creating a kick butt strain from the beans he has left behind!

Name it in his honor and live out your days knowing you made peace with your father before it was to late!

Really sorry to hear Skunk, I'm sure your dad is smiling down on you sharing a doob with the almighty as we speak. Not to say how you should feel, but don't feel bad about time lost when he was alive; all of that doesn't matter now. Your father is at peace and all I'm sure he would ask of you is to remember him with love.

Sorry to hear that Skunk. I got to spend my Dad's last days with him but was gone when he passed...couldn't drive fast enough to get there when the nurse called that night. I did spend some final moments with him though, and saw the peace that he now had in his face. We couldn't communicate well at the end of his life, but the the look in his eyes and his earnest attempts said it all. God bless you and your family brother.
