i was watching a show on making hash and extracts and in the video the gentleman mentioned that when making hash you dont have to dry or cure the product (trim or complete buds or both) you just put it in the freezer for a few hours to a few days before you want to make the hash, but my question is will it not have that same punch that making hash from buds that have been dried and cured properly?
thanks for any input!
Also why would one not want to use dry ice in the cold water extraction method?

You dont have to make sure its dry and cured but it does help. I'm not sure if you end up with more by drying and curing but I think there is a taste differance.

Hey guys as sub posted he takes his shuger leaf and scragle buds wet then freezes, and makes bubble/full melt. I have done it in 5 gal. bubble bags for yeas now and i believe there is a difference in the bubble that is creatd when frozen and when dried and cured. It all takes a different touch in my humble opinoin. Sub says he does small high quality runs in one gals. and obviously from the pics he knows exactly what he is doing. Yet i will not dispute that cured trim seems to be easyer to get all the frozen & cured resin in one run. With sub's mthed i actually had three uns and am making some now! i came out with about the samee amount yet some grades were insanely potent and others were noticibly less potent. For people who haven't made very much bubble i would say cure then freeze and then follow baisic steps as i think it is easier to get a touch for, but i do it bot ways for input from friend and customers to see what they prefer. Obviously the full melt is all mine! HAHAHA!!! SpaceJill Full melt was greeaaat! totally red bub and almost completely see through. For a novice i would recomend drieng and curing then freeze and its bubble time!!!:)

thanks sensi it is going to be a mission for me to find that perfect method that works for me (this is a good thing as it means i have to try a few different methods), as i know everyone does things a little differently to suit their needs.
I have a few months before i even consider thinking about making any bubble or basic hashish!

I find that if you use fresh, not dried buds and leaf, the taste is off, it just doesnt taste as good. But to each their own as everyone has differant tastes.
