what color should the hairs be before i pick my buds??? right now there white. thanx and peace!

some people say that the calyx's should turn red or orange before harvesting. i guess that's a good method of judging about when your buds are ready for harvest in the absence of a jeweler's loop for trichome color examination.

If possible get one of these this picture is a good 6 months old and I think this scope here was on the way out and being replaced had to goto three before one had it.

Ripeness is determined by the color of the trichs, not the color of the hairs. Clear is a very low CBD that may cause headaches, milky is low CBD and still not really ready. About 75% amber is usually ideal, and 100% amber is as much of a CBD couch lock as you're likely to get from a plant.

when you pick your meds should be determined by two factors,
1. what mix of sativa/indica it has
2. what % of trichs turned amber, gives you what you need for relief.
some plants with sativa in it, I'll pick at 10% and up each couple of days (if I don't know the strains effects).
I have one plant that is best around 30%, and brainwreck was best at 100% despite it having sativa in it.
so like the others said, 10% more heady, 100% glued to couch

yeah, there are a number of strains that have abnormal colored hairs (including white). always watch your trichomes. had a dream last night that i had a big bag full of nothing but groomed trichs that i was packing in a bowl. MMMM. this morning i found the smallest blunt roach imaginable. kind of a let down, but i'm grateful for anything i can find these days.

Ahh, kif. Nectar even beyond bubble, as it just goes down so smoothly and has just enough vegetative matter left in it to give it good flavour. :D
