Four Quebec men arrested

CORNWALL - Four Quebec men faces charges of growing marijuana after a seizure of nearly $40,000 worth of the plant.
On Saturday afternoon, an SD&G OPP officer was patrolling on Concession 3 in South Glengarry Township where she saw a suspicious vehicle parked on the shoulder of the road.
As she approached the vehicle, a man walked out of a nearby cornfield.
The officer called in the OPP Canine Unit and the Emergency Response Team. They found and seized 39 plants and 23 grams of suspected marijuana, which led to the arrest of four men under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act.
Mathieu Allard, 19 of La Presentation, Que., Benjamin Monger, 24, Simon Monger, 29, both of Chisasibi, Que. 29 and Mario Monger, 50, of La Presentation, Que. were arrested and charged with production of marijuana.
They were all released on a promise to appear in Alexandria court on Oct. 6.
