thats awesome news
i know a woman with this natural resistance to HIV ,,,,
unfortunately she is still a carrier of HIV and spreads it to others who arent resistant just as rapidly as she spreads her legs which is far too offtin even for an uninfected woman

It was bound to happen. All disease have a half-life. :)
The trick was to find that 1% of the population that was "immune" or resistant and figur out how to make that work as a cure.
Not far off, now!

I would think the best possible canidates are from HIV positive mothers carrying non HIV positive babys. And to think GW BUSH was against stem cell research.. What a bigot homophobic LOSER he is. So glad he is GONE !!!

A vaccine trial has been going on for about a year now in the US too. --r

I'd say thats funny cause it's true but there nothing funny about Harper/Bush.
Didn't mean it to be funny. Nothing funny about right wing religious zealots (IMO).
I also didn't mean to disrupt the thread. I am glad that there is hope for a cure. I have lost too many friends.

I just listened to the news story about doctors accidentally curing HIV/AIDS. I thought that if Bush had been in office, that news would have been buried.
This is finally some good news as bad news is getting tiresome.
May everyone have access to that treatment asap.
