We received these seeds last year at the Expo in Toronto. They autoflowered. These plants are smaller for that than we tend to grow out.
4 females flowered. Plant 1.

Thanks, I keep searching for the AK47 that would be half of a white russian. I don't think these plants will come anywhere near 1.5 kgs! But I will be happy with an ounce each.

Hi GG,
I am forwarding your post to Simon as what you have is really not what you are suppose to have.
AK47 would yeild more than that and more frosty.
I am waiting for an answer from Simon!

And makes no difference to anything. We usually grow plants in 5 gal containers that yeikd 100 grams per plant. These plants autoflowered and never grew large. Have not wieghed the harvest yet, but they will ikey be under 1oz.
Genetics is the cause of the plants you see here folks. Not the watts.

I am surprized that they autoflowered as Serious DOESN'T even offer autoflowering strains. Do you think that they could have been stressed?

well seeing as I am a full floro user also(8 bulb bad boy/grow 16 bulb for flower)I must say that she received the wrong genetics,I have done and received ak-47 many times,I just did a smoke report for Greeenjon, and his sample was same as the ones I grew from serious seed(Simon)huge solid nugs, well just check out my report,I do wish we could have followed this grow in a weekly thread, then we could have seen any potential stress, watering problems, bugs, ect.Green girl is gifted grower, shows great stuff, she should know how this grow went, peace all, send her something new Claude, make her day,but you gotta thread the grow for all of us to enjoy, haha

Hmmm after some heated discussion over the vape here.... OK, so we are arguing about using the word autoflower here in the house now. Going over the journal, things are more complicated upon examination. I will happily retract the word autoflower for a better explanation. We had 5 males show up immediately, 1 male show up later, and 4 females. After looking over our numbers, we have never had plants show (1 month) so early and definitively without any change in the conditions. Never seen anything flower not under 12 hours lights until now.
The bud vapes nicely. We tried some from the drying tray! :D There is just not enough it! We will definitely have some of this bud at the expo. Hopefully we will be able to compare it to other people who also grew theirs out from last year.

Hi GreenGirl,
I have to inform you that you are not alone.
Yes they have autoflower, this is happening only under the same kind of lightning you have CFL.
Many user have complained about this in the past.
I am sorry for your infortune but even if I send you replacement it will be the same story.
I have brought this issue to Simon and he should repply on this.

well I for one say a big thanks you to serious, and don't start that bullsht that I only back seed companies, you all know that is crap.I am always impressed when ANY company seed or not takes care of customer service,I must agree that I can understand CFL's being a possible problem with auto flowering, lumens are very important in grow phase, but quality should not be that drastic,it should be fairly close to regular finish,I hope I am one of the peeps who get a taste of this AK 47 at the expo, anyway this I guess is my thank you to serious seeds for it's customer service,I have grown some of there strains, may even have a few in the treasure chest, haha, peace all

am sorry but yes marco there Ak-47 auto flowers and also turns hermie.
i got the same seeds at the expo off Simon.
i grew some small auto flowering super smelling ,frosted right out beautiful plants but i find i dont get any medicinal effect on it.to me it s a commercial good looking only strain it s not that good.
am very sadden that i got alot of hermies also and the males under 24 hours of lights ON they would go into flowering.so not very stable also.
i wanted to enter serious seed strains in the cup this year and am sorry but i fell i wasted 6 months of growing with these beans.i was planing on growing all your strains .
i hope Simon can say something about this.

i didnt want to post when i first seen this thread in the beginning because i didnt want to hurt anyones feelings , but ,,,,,,
i havent grown the ak47 but ive seen a boatload of pics of it and i have never seen any that look like these ones
blaming it on flourecent lights is cowardly and not wanting to admit to the truth
it appears to be a completely different strain and gg should be reimbursed with the proper strain or something similar because i wouldnt want todays ak47 anyway from everything ive read about it
nothing about the plants in those pics even remotely resemble ak47 and it is NOT due to the lights used
serious seeds need to reimburse gg and fast because they have enough serious complaints all over these forums not just this one and thier rep is in "serious" trouble (pun intended)

Thank you very much for the offer Claude. But of course I will be sticking with my floro bulbs. I really floro and scrogging! I'm comfortable with my setup and how it runs. Its not hard to bet that I would have trouble if I switched back to HPS (heh, alfter a very very long hiatus).
The bud vapes up just fine. It will be very interesting to see how this AK compares. This stuff will still knock your socks off, you may have to go take a nap!
For all those folks who are concerned with my relationship with Serious Seeds, please do not be. Claude and I have been in communication for 2 whole years now. We are friends, and its a pleasure when he can make it to the morning chats. But even more than that, we came last year to the booth, only to find he could not make it because of a broken leg. All 4 of the people who did make it out last year welcomed us, even though Claude was not actually there for a reference. I enjoyed every moment we spent at the Expo last year, and Serious Seeds and Marco are the reason. (And of course thanks to all those friends/regulars we love to hang with at every event we all get out to!)
Above all, this is not wasted information. It is useful to know what can happen under a variety of conditions. Its useful to know the genetic background of what we have, even finding the outliers. I feel exactly the same way about my widow seeds, and like to know every bit of information from grows that I can get my hands on.

well said Green girl,I also love it when Claude show up in am chat, all are welcome by the way,I hope to smoke some of this at EXPO,I have had some very good ak-47 and would give it a try,I do agree also that this strain is very commercial,I can find it here in the states almost anytime of year, many grow this big,and I personally believe most clone generation this strain to death.Bob I am very proud of you for holding back, true grit award to you, peace all

Hi Bob,
Yes you have hurt my feeling. :( lol
As opposed to you I have had boatload of compliment for the AK47.
As of CFL light we did not know until we had a complaint from a customer that had that same situation and he decided to try another source of light and he succeded in getting back is plants in vegetative state.
I am a firm beleiver that the cross in the AK47 that come from near the equatorial would flower when they receive a certain light spectral then they start to flower.
FYI: GG received these seeds as a gift, also I have offered her to replace them.
Thanks anyway
Claude

Sorry folks I was wrong about the light spectrum. It could be because of the light strength.

are we calling cfl's true floresent,I must agree here my experience is completely with the T-5's I can promise you I can replicate anything grown with hps, done it many times right here on TY,Skunk mad has rated my density at 9-10 so that should show something, haha, peace, great having you in a.m. Claude,
