Seeds From the Heart
I met Luc, Patrick and Jean Felix again this year at the TY Expo, an always smiling and great crew. They breed and grow good herb, no wonder they're always smiling ;)
I got a bunch of seeds from Luc, 2 strains I used to grow that I regret letting go, Whiteberry and Jacky White. And some new strains I've wanted to try, Atomical Haze and Delahaze. Delahaze won the TY Sativa Cup this year, a well deserved winner.
Germinated a 5 pack of Atomical Haze, White Berry and Delahaze on June 8.
100% germination rate, soaked just hours after receiving them the Saturday of the Expo, I couldn't wait :)

Transplanted 4 of the Delahaze into 16 litre containers today. Will have to transplant the rest tomorrow, ran out of energy today.
Here's a photo of the 4 transplanted and the 1 Delahaze in it's original pot @ day 19.
Veg bat guano was added into the transplants, just a tablespoon per 16L pot.

Thanks guys, encouraging them to stretch a bit now, building branches, and topping soon. Then when topped those branches will fill out nicely. Every strains different, but anticipate the Delahaze and Atomical Haze to be taller. Better to start earlier with the sativas. That's OK, luv my hazes.
Even the White Berry is a lanky Indica, but a beautiful plant that yields well too.
And groo, the Delahaze pheno I didn't transplant was a bit taller than the other 4. I could only transplant 4 and kept the odd one of the bunch, she was just a bit taller than the other 4. All feminized and beautiful, just kept the 4 that were closest in height and structure together to keep under another T5 fixture together.
But you're correct, she is a stout little plant, very vigorous, my fav of the bunch, time well tell but i think she'll shine through.

High again folks, sorry the delay in posting. Summertime and runnings keepin' me busy.
Here's a couple shots from day 32. Plants were topped July 1, most, but not all fan leaves removed the same day. Feeding DM Gold Grow A&B, Cal-Mag, Grozyme and Seaweed Extract. Tonight's feed was 1000 PPM, highest so far, have been feeding 800 PPM's for a week or so now. Bi-weekly foliar applications of Canna's Rhizotonic and 1 spoonful of veg bat guano sprinkled on top of the grow medium, for good measure eh ;)

Keep checking in, best is yet to come. Expected date to begin bloom is July 24, or 46 days of veg. No worries about height restrictions, these are nice and bushy now, grown a few hazes before, ;)

Right on sis! Growing a couple Pandora and Vertigo now on my balcony. Been out there their entire life (germinated June 8). I should have vegged em inside for a couple weeks, live and learn eh. Luc advised me to make sure they have lots of nitrogen early in veg and to germinate in the container you'll finish in, so no transplanting. I'm using 2 gallon pots as suggested by Patrick, smiley guy at the Paradise Seeds booth.
Vertigo showed flowers in just 17 days, Pandora took a bit longer at around 21 days.

Thanks for sharing! I so hope I can get this strain to grow how an auto should grow! I found out too late the first time I try an auto that you are to start it and the finish pot! lol I started auto AK47 it was the smallest little plant but had one huge buds that was yummy! So back to reading I did for a while before deciding to try an auto again and after chatting with many at the TY Expo I am ready to try an auto again! I got many new strains I am trying for the first time and will share with everyone on here!

Thanks amigo, it's day 39 for the autoflowers. They seem to like the heat, or it doesn't bother them. Exhaust from the grow keeps the balcony hot. Heatwave now too, expecting 38C on Thursday! That's without the humidity, supposed to be a record setter.
Anyways sorry for rambling on, here they are @ 39 days, one Pandora;

ver nice looking plants like always, JG. I tried your pruning method on a mother I have and it really pushed out new branches after i pruned the fan leaves off. It almost looks like a topped plant but it still has it's top. Very good technique I will alway's be using it when i want to promote branching.
So do you not use loose rockwool to grow from seed?? Or have you stopped using it? I've always been interested in how you grow in loose rockwool. Any tips or techniques you can pass on to someone thinking about trying it?
Jonathon Goldsmith
09-28-2011, 09:37 PM
Plants began bloom July 21, sativas flowered for 67 days. Harvested Sept. 26
Whiteberry flowered for 60 days. Harvested Sept. 19.
I didn't take photos of the Whiteberry, she turned out fine though, grew her before so I didn't take pics.
The Sativas - You should smell the sweet fragrances, from lemony, to pineapple.
The two seedlings I pictured in veg ended up being the phenotypes that I kept. I could'nt keep them all and went by eye early on, turned out well, both turned out nice, not too lanky with chunky, solid buds.
No male flowers whatsoever from 15 seedlings. Paradise Seeds are awesome, next up some Delahaze trees in rockwool!
Smoke report for Halloween, cheers.

Pandora on the left, yield 25 grams. Vertigo plants, 10, 14, 12 grams (as pictured hanging on the wire). Good results for no artificial light ever, they were always under the sun on a balcony with only 4 hours direct sun per day, indirect sun also, balcony faces south. Next time I'll start them under T5's for 2-3 weeks then place them outside.
