View Full Version : Weed is like Miracle Medicine...But I need help with the application(Ontario Based)

I need help with getting a Medical Marijuana License/Card in Canada..


So here's my situation... currently I'm in a lot of pain due to an injury I suffered a while back. It was around three years ago and has also been very hard emotionally to deal with becuase it was the result of an assualt. I also have the official diagnosis of Post Tramatic stress disorder stemming from this.The chronic pain has basically destroyed my life these last few years.


The only thing that seems to help is marijuana. Honestly it's like a miracle cure. I find I can actually function like a regular human being when I take this. Plus there are very minimal side effects for me when I use it.

But it's hard to get at a reasonable price qnd when I do get some..the quality is awful and tastes awful. Not to mention that it would be illegal for me to carry.I Actually have a court case open against the assaulter so any sort of criminal record could be very damaging to that case.

My general practitioner has already tried numerous types of strong pain medication. But the side effects are awful. The medicine I currently take for pain has the side effects of awful constipation.. So every single day I'm like on the toilet for at least two hours.

My doctor has been very reluctant to help me apply for a medical marijuana card because of the large amount of effort involved. In addition he's also mentioned he is very unfamiliar with the proper channels to do this.

But my Dr.now supports this endeavor as long as I can figure out the method involved in getting a card.
Of course it wasn't the easiest thing to convince him... So I figure I only have one this..

But honestly it's hard for me to do even simple things even typing... In fact I'm writing this using Dragon speech recognition programs.

I'd like to be able to have a large quantity of weed on me with out being busted or something...
I know there are certain mail order services for instance that offer deals for buying bulk quantities of product.

It would also be nice be able to get some seeds and grow my own stuff ..once in a while to save money.


Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to fill out the required forms..?
I need to get the card as fast as possible and I need a surefire method to make sure the application goes through the first time around.

Many canadians have a problem getting legal. All you can do is research and research and keep all records of your medical problems,try all the meds your doc wants to give you and stay on him. Get personally involved with people who know the system to improve your chances. Or move to california.I believe there are more legal patients in my town than the whole of canada Good luck Jerry

Read through the information and then download and print the forms. Not all forms are needed and depending if you are planning on growing or purchasing this is the only difference.

The forms look difficult but they are not too bad. Most of it you can fill in yourself or ask a family member to help you. Once this is done you need a "passport type" photo and get the doctor to sign the small area and fill in the pertinent medical info and that is it.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I believe you have passed the hardest hurdle, getting a doctor to agree to fill out the forms. Once you have completed the proper forms (personnally I would fill out all the possibly relevant ones such as growing your own even if you are not sure unless you have a solid designated grower) I would suggest taking these forms to your federal mp and have them fax them for you, this is what I do now as I have had too many problems with hellth Canada and my fed mp is an alliance/reform bastard, yet they helped me get my permits the last two years. Really?
Shes a liberal so im not sure her stance.

She should fax them?

Why should I tell her its neccessary she does it.

Whouldnt she just tell me to do this myself.

If you are in the Toronto area I would be more than happy to sit down with you and go over the forms. Then you will need to take the forms to your dr for him to fill out and sign both the forms and your passport size picture. Make a copy of all the forms once they have been filled out and keep them for your records just in case.

It is their job. Part of their job is to help their constituents in any way they can. mmar is a fed program so fed mp.My mp is a con/alliance/reform member and they faxed them the last 2 years because of all the problems with hellth Canada. You asked for advice and this is something I have done myself and thought it might help you but by no means do you HAVE to do it, it is your choice.
