do you miss the TY spirit?
do you lurk more then post lately?
do you miss your friends?
Then lets do something about this, shall we?
First of all, if you want things to change, start posting and stop lurking. If everyone goes back to posting like normal, others will see this and join in. After all, how many friends are you missing lately? Don't you think they would post again if they saw you posting?
Right now your friends are scattered over the internet, some are at http://www.healthylivingproject.com some are at http://www.mmjreform.com and some are at other sites. I highly recommend you join all of these sites and post as often as possible, show that you really want to make a change. Is Marco going through this for nothing??? Are we done standing up for our rights? Or do you still want to make a change? If you really believe in what TY once stood for, if you really want to see it come back, post. Post here, post there, post everywhere. When law makers look at these sites, we want them to see thousands of active members. We want them to see thousands of us, all voters, on every pro-MMJ site online. We want them to see we are united and active and moving forward.
Lets rally the troops!!!
I ask each and everyone of you, post on every pro-MMJ site you can find, show your support. We all know there is strength in numbers, lets show them what we are really made of and take a stand.
We must unite to win, we can't afford to lose.

Try and remember that just because the post is read and not responded to, dosen't mean that folks don't care. Also try and remember that calling people beaten because that have not responded isn't a very good tactic for getting favorable responses.
Would you stand in my shoes for an hour?
A day?
A week?
Would you tell me what my priorities should be?
And if they're not the same as yours, does that make me wrong.
It's one thing to make a call for action, but the way that you go about making it and they way that you respond to those who you might feel are indifferent is also an essential part of making that 'call'

I agree with Joshua 100%, but isn't that what we have Tonya's and Joshua's site for? Activism to get the herb legalized, at the very least, for medical reasons? I have always felt that TY is more of a refuge for the sick, who have found that mmj helps them with their ailments. The TY family is all about giving and receiving compassion, kindness and friendly & helpful advice. At least that has always been my read of this site. I believe that is also Marco's mission statement for Treating Yourself. The reason that 45 viewed and 3 responded might be an indication that those who did read are either too ill to get actively involved or live in a backassward country or state and just don't feel like getting publically involved because of security reasons. This is just my take on things, but I am so brain foggred at times, what do I know! LOL!! Everyone, take care and be well....

SO, I'm thinking that the 'Twisted' comment was directed at my post.
By being frank and honest in my feelings and comments, I'm in someway being negative?
I'm making a statement about a comment by Josh, that in a few words was in and of itself negative, by suggesting that those who didn't respond or do as he asked were 'Beaten', or at the very least 'Not being all that they could be'.

Hey Buddy, I am sorry that you percieved my comments as being twisted for that was not my intention. I also believe that everybody has the right to voice their views and opinions. That's what makes this such a great place. My only intention was to keep the post focused on the positive side rather than the flip. I have never once made a negative post or tried to stir anything up here, and I won't now. I hope this does not become blown out of proportion and made to be more than it was intended. You have a great Day.. :D

then why only list your sites if you want everyone to support all Mj site s Josh? This is trolling and putting down Ty to benefit yourself and is certainly not right. I just seen where Echo has posted all posts with links like that are not welcome here you are violating the rules with your post. You are completely disrespecting Ty and its members and have done nothing but try to proffit from or destroy Ty since Marcos arrest. I am reporting this thread and in my opinion you should be banned, you are hurting Ty no matter what you think or say

05-18-2005, 02:59 PM
point well made swampy , all the med sites should be givin to for equal exposure, not just the select few or two.but joshua your not the first to blow the rally calls. there need to be more effeciant way to gather the troops . there are I would assume alot of ill people out there that dont have computers and or any type of means of communications. there are millions of people out there that dont even know that they are ill and they use mj to help them with , when they dont even know it , education, and by spreading the word and to reach these people is going to be the uphill climb.when you have all these people then you have you'll have majority and thats when laws get changed . power to the people.
Swampy, I think you're misunderstanding Echo's concern about spam. Neither site Joshua mentioned is commercial, and they even provided a "haven" for TY members while TY was down.
Aside from that, Joshua is right about people not posting to the sites. Since TY came back online, I've seen virtually no posts at http://www.mmjreform.com/ and very few here at TY.
By that I mean that most of what people have been posting is resurrecting older information for growing, introductions, and some "favourite" threads people had. There isn't a lot of discussion happening like there used to be.

i donno about you all but for me it is often hard to post when there is so much going on in my person life (that is not for public sharing) that my mental bandwith is used up..... this, annoying timed as it is, has nothing to do with TY or marco but effects TY none the less.
thanx for that post Josh.... it hit home to me and apreciate it very much.

I'm sorry I didn't take the time to list every site, sheesh, this is what happens for trying to bring you people back together??? I mentioned the three sites nearest and dearest to my heart, TY, mmjreform and HLP, This was not meant to be a list of every MMJ site online, it was just a general "lets work together"
Frankly I don't understand you people, first you thank us for letting you use MMJReform while TY was down, now when I try and pull us together I get in trouble for using the link in a post to rally the troops?
And yes, I was trying to stir you people up, look at how this site is now, what happened to the rise of the phoniex? it's laying there gasping for air and I'm trying to revive it. Why aren't you?
Swampy, you were just thanking us the other day for letting TY use our site, now you attack me for trying to help TY? I just don't understand...

Funny thing is, I never go into other peoples threads and start trouble, but yet the same people always seem to follow my posts and pick on anything I say, no matter how positive it is. I'm not going to let you get me down, call me all the names you want. but the fact of the matter is you are trolling me. I have not once went out of my way to pick apart anyones threads but yet every time I post the same people find me and attack.
What did I say that offended you? That TY members were not acting the same? Face it, look around, the feeling here is that TY is in bad shape and many people don't know if it will be here tomorrow. Even mods are asking whats going on, or didn't you notice? What did I do? I tried to wake you all up, shame on me for trying to bring some life back into this site. What is really sad is we started really great, look at all the positive replies I had until you all came in here starting the same attacks.

Well folks, I have never evolved myself with squabbles on this site or any other.
As for posting, I haven’t been doing much lately. Half the time I find it hard to order some thoughts and write it down in an intelligent manner.
We must remember that there are members here that do a great service for the MMJ movement behind the scenes. For me, that is quietly spreading the word to folks that have open minds about the benefits of our precious herb.
Like many, I so dislike confrontation. If I make someone feel bad then that in turn makes me feel bad so I avoid it at all costs.
As I see it the main purpose of TY is to help folks help themselves.
If we let them, LEO will divide and conquer so lets not allow that to happen.

Josh, we all appreciate what you and Tonya did for TY while it was down, but nobody, to my knowlege, has asked you to pull us together. TY will survive just fine, with or without you. Personally, I hope that it is with you. You have posted mostly all positive stuff since this first happened. I got over the subtle digs that you made towards Marco about freedom of speech, but have continued to pay attention. While TY was down, your site was busier and we thanked you for such a kind gesture. But that gesture worked both ways, as your site saw a major increase in traffic. Perhaps the reason that folks aren't hitting both of the sites that bailed us out any more than they did before the crash is because they are too ill to be able to spend the energy to fight the fight. But what do I know? Of course, it is not the same as before. Hell, our leader and founder is in big trouble. TY is in a state of shock and without Marco able to be involved, thing are going to be shaky for a while. However, I have faith in my TY brothers and sisters! Families always infight, but the cream rises to the top!
Joshua
05-19-2005, 10:57 AM
First off all, I'm not sure what digs against Marco you are refering too. When I talked about freedom of speech I talked about everyone in general. I don't recall once ever saying anything bad about Marco, would you be kind enough to refresh my memory?
Also, I didn't know anyone had to be asked to try and be positive, I thought thats why we are here. When I said about people not posting, I know that some are to sick to post, but I was talking about those of us that can post and have not been. Everyone knows that a lot of people are coming around but not posting, you can see it in the stats. But heaven forbid someone asks them to band together and try and unite. I tried, and even though many people understood what I was saying and was 100% behind trying to bring back some pride, a few of you that only seem to find my threads and crap on me managed to once again stink up what could have been a positive thread.
Maybe you should all reread my original post, this time take your time, don't just look for things to flame me over, read it like you would if someone else had posted it. Because I already know I will never get fair treatment from some of you, it is very obvious that I have enemies here that just wait for me to post so they can try and make me look bad.
But guess what? it is ok, people know who I am and what I am about. You few can all try and make me look bad every chance you get, people that know me know the truth. And I'm sure many people are shaking theirs heads right now in shame seeing how you crapped on something as positive as what this was becoming until you fouled it with your personal attacks.
Joshua
PS, next time I start a thread you don't like, could you have the decency to talk to me about it first before you slam it in public? You all say you don't want the negativity here, but then you slam me for trying to help.

Joshua
05-19-2005, 02:49 PM
hmmm, thought I did comment, did I miss something? I also asked where it was that I said something bad about Marco, I see no one has found that since it never happened. I'm not sure who you have me confused with, but I don't bad mouth marco and I never have.
I will also add for those of you that actually read. I have Marco's permission to have my site in my sig. I was talking with him about making these all sister sites before he got busted. But of course you wouldn't know that because no one took the time to read anything I've ever posted. So go ahead, complain that I have my link in my sig, but you better ask Marco before you make a fool of yourself. Not only that, Zardoz himself posted that MMJreform was the unoffical sister site of TY, but now all of you want to give me grief over something that is not new. My link has been in my sig for months, but of course there was nothing else to flame me over so why not bring that up now?
Who is being negative here? The person that tried to rally the troops, or the ones that troll every post I make just to flame me?
I'm not mad at any of you, I respect Swampy very much, I also have talked with buddy and bill before, I like all of you, But I have no idea why you always seek me out and trash anything I try to do. If members are not allowed to try and make change, then what are we here for?

Joshua, please calm down. It was never my intention to upset you so and for that I do apolgize. I just don't see where I "attacked" you, but I am truly sorry that you are so upset! As far as the remarks/digs that you made towards Marco, I've got nothing to prove to you or anybody else. You know what you wrote and so do I..... Once again, let's just agree to disagree, like gentlemen do! Take care and be well.....
Joshua
05-19-2005, 03:40 PM
Bill, I'm not upset, lol
I wrote, and I quote "Is Marco going through this for nothing???"
What I meant by that is very simple, Marco is going through the fight of his life and many people have abandoned him and TY, and yes, it pissed me off that people ran away when the chips were down. Would Marco have hid if it was us in trouble? Or would he have stood up and fought? I think you all really misread what I was saying. thats all, this is a simple misunderstanding.
Marco helped me when no one else could, I'm not turning my back on him or TY. I'm here aren't I? I'm trying to help rally the troops, not defeat them. Like someone said, a few people have sounded the battle cry and not much has happened, does that mean we quit sounding the battle cry? Or do we keep trying and trying until we are once again united for a common cause?
Joshua
PS, Bill, you are a gentleman as always, I respect a person that can have a conversation and both people not only talk but also listen. You are a rare breed my friend.
Joshua
05-19-2005, 03:52 PM
I'll add. even though some got mad, this still worked, it made people think about the pride of what TY was and can be again. Yes, sometimes to get things moving you have to anger a few people, ever been to a high school football pep talk?
I have nothing but respect for all of you, I know this is not an easy time for anyone. But everyone that can, should try and do something to bring us back together. If you can post, by all means post, help bring back the spirit of TY. But not only that, remember why we are all here, its not just to get medicated, its to make sure that changes are made so that MMJ can be legal for everyone. You might try and tell me this is not an activists site, but I can look at the forums and see that activism is talked about everywhere, not to mention there is an activism forum right on the main page of TY.
Also, when I say "We" should fight, don't you people think I don't know some of us can't fight for one reason or another? By "we" I meant anyone that can, "we" as a collective spirit trying to make changes. LEO knows that making changes in the laws are right around the corner, thats why they are trying to silence us. Now is not the time for us to be silent, and you all know it.
So once again I'll say it, POST HERE, POST THERE, POST EVERYWHERE! Show your support to make changes any way you can. If this statement is offensive, then something is really wrong....

Looking for office help
A local business was looking for office help. They put a sign in the window saying:
HELP WANTED
Must be a good typist and be good with a computer.
Successful applicant must be bilingual.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
A short time later a lovely golden retriever dog trotted up to the window, saw the sign and went inside. He looked at the receptionist and wagged his tail, then walked over to the sign, looked at it, whined and pawed the air.
The receptionist called the office manager. He was surprised, to say the least to see a canine applicant. However, the dog looked determined, so he led him into the office. Inside, the dog jumped up on a chair and stared at the manager expectantly. The manager said, "I can't hire you. The sign says you must be able to type." The dog jumped down, went to the typewriter and proceeded to quickly type a perfect business letter. He took out the page and trotted over to the manager, gave it to him, then jumped back up on the chair.
The manager was stunned, but told the dog, "That was fantastic, but I'm sorry. The sign clearly says that whoever I hire has to be good with a computer." The dog jumped down again, went to the computer and proceeded to demonstrate his expertise with various programs, produced a sample spreadsheet and database, then presented them to the manager.
The manager was dumbfounded! He said to the dog, "Hey, I realize that you are a very intelligent applicant and have fantastic talent, but you're a dog -- no way could I hire you." The dog jumped down and went to the sign in the window and pointed his paw at the words,
"Equal Opportunity Employer."
The exasperated manager said, "Yes, I know what the damned sign says. But the sign also says you have to be bilingual."
The dog looked him straight in the eye and said
