It's made from sedge peat, sphagnum peat, perlite, chicken manure, bone meal, blood meal, bat guano, seabird guano, rock phosphate w/humates, lime & fossilized kelp. I've no experience with organics but understand the basics but I'm wondering how much I shoul cut this stuff with coco coir? I made an experimental mix of 2 parts recycled & seralized potting mix, 2 parts power flower, 2 parts coco coir hydrated with a light mix of Earth Juice (catalyst, microblast and Grow) & 1 part 50/50 perlite/vermiculite. Seedlings are dealing with it fine, no signs of burning so I'm guessing I can go heavier with the power flower for my transplant? Sound like I'm on the right track?

It used to be called: "Dan's Good Dirt". And it was delivered by Dan himself!
It's not really soil..it's like a Harvard soiless mix.
I use 70% Power Flower, 30% perlite with drip organics.
Really great stuff and it's cheaper than Fox Farms high priced...dirt.
I think you will like it.

Well after having great results with the powerflower I refined the formula with some extra perlite. I've been searching my past posts for my exact formula but I can't find it and I lost my worksheet I used to track the development of the formula. I believe that I was adding 4 gallons of perlite to 1.5FT^3 PowerFlower for some extra drainage. This round I'm going to be adding an extra gallon of worm castings to each 1.5FT^3 so I don't have to push the N so much during veg + I'm running CO2 which means faster growth so the extra N will help out a lot.
To sustain my N release I'm mixing fine castings with large castings. I'm pretty sure this will also increase the water retention in the mix as well but it's summer and I have a killer blower for venting (3,000-5,000FT^3/min) on for 10min at the end of each 3 hour CO2 cycle.
Let's hope I once again see that magic pound per light yeild I was getting before I fixed something that wasn't broke by switching to Black Gold Potting Mix which I think is CRAP!!!
