COURT UPHOLDS KUBBY APPEAL AGAINST MARIJUANA LAWS

VANCOUVER -- Michele Kubby appeared by phone today, in the British
Columbia Court of Appeals, to argue a pre-trial motion regarding her
challenge that the cannabis laws have already fallen in Canada. Maria
Molloy, representing the Solicitor General of Canada, argued that Mrs.
Kubby's petition was frivolous and should be dismissed. In addition,
Ms. Molloy requested that costs should be awarded to the Crown.

Justice Lowry of the B.C. Appeals Court, ruled that Mrs. Kubby's appeal
can continue and that Ms. Molloy's requests for costs was denied.

"The Solicitor General of Canada is arguing that I don't have standing
to challenge the validity of the cannabis laws in British Columbia
unless I get arrested, but Justice Lowry wouldn't tell me to go get
arrested, so the appeal is on." stated Michele Kubby from her home in
Suh Peaks, BC. "The cannabis laws in Canada have already fallen in
previous court decisions and it is my sincere hope to prevail on behalf
of sick and dying people everywhere who need this medicine."

The final appeal will be heard sometime later this year.
