i have heard many say that dj short blueberry is one of the best. and i have to agree. willy jack was a also give very good reviews for pain manage ment.

It depends on what kind of pain-chronic,nueropathic,arthritis related and or trauma related-acute or chronic.Im a chronic pain patient.I like heavy couchlock Indicas.I also am fond of White Russian by seriousseeds.com a cross of White Widow and AK-47.I have also had luck with M39.Hashplant and any of the white family-widow,rhino,Grizzley are awesome for pain as well.Peace and good luck BigD

BigDaddy is very accurate in the strains described for pain management. I too, recieved my recommendation for the chronic pain and found all of the white strains worthy. Any true heavy indica will work as will Romulan. Romulan, being the most sativa phenotype. With an amassed amount of damage done to over 60% of my body, these are the strains I use and recommend: Romulan, White Rhino, White Widow, Couchlock, Hashplant, and was just blessed with a great BC strain crossed with a Widow that is blowing my socks off! I mean, this strain that came about through some unintentional breeding of an aquaintence is really working.

I'm digging on Burmaberry from reeferman. It smokes great and does wonders for my chronic back and shoulder pain. It does real nice in my grow room too. Not too streachy and it forms dense, trichome covered buds.

I have found relief from, White Widow (headaches), Endless Sky (joint pain & restlessness), Northern Lights (general analgesic), and a SkunkxW.W F1 (made me hungry, helped w/sleep/ and relieved both headache & joint pain)..
Of course these are all based on personal experience, but from other reports I've seen the "White family" is a good treatment tool.
After reviewing the other posts I see that there are othere here with similar experience with the "White Fam"
I apologize for no "breeder" names, the Genes have always been provided by others and "passed" along w/strain name.

Any G-13 hybrid , OG Kush, Bubba Kush, Trainwreck for sure. ;) Any Rushman or Mota Rebel strains as they breed for med use. Mota Rebel Gear can be found at Growshop Alien and Rushman at Doc Chronic. Have to agree with ojibman suggestion about G13 i have personally found that one a great strain for pain management, I suffer from ostheoarthritis and it helped me alot with my joint/bone pain.

For me going to a seed bank site is like my 7yr. old going in a candy store! For years smoke around here was named "Hey man you got some" I can't count the number of bags I got that after cleaning the stems and seeds out of them you find yourself with between 7/8 3/4 out of an oz. Which wouldn't be that bad except I could blow thru it in 3 days just triing not to have to take my second dose of Morphine. I know give it to me if you don't want it. You know what you can have it the side effects from it have long ago out raged the pain relief. However smoke was driving me broke! Till I learned how to do it myself. Finally I'm get close to making my best ever(hey it's my smoke I can call it the best he he) It's been a lot of work well for me it has. Took along time to put it all together and learn how to grow it right so. I'm coming up on my best havest yet and just can't wait. But I could never deside on which seed.
Still don't know but I love all the new candy stores I found !

kenbev40, I have an incredibly high tolerance for mj, due to pain and morphine no doubt. over the years I have tried too many strains to remember and most lasted a couple of days to 4 weeks. the only strains to last 4 weeks were OG Kush and Brainwreck. I find I need the sativa effect as well as the indica so blends are better for me. other very good strains that didn't last as long, but were good meds for others that tried it, are
Ice queen, chemo, weeping widow(any white family), herijuana, blueberry, northernberry and mandarin dream.
I worked my own research project for a while in order to narrow down the guesswork and I found that crossing herijuana(reefermans) with Northernberry(TY), then I backcrossed that with blueberry. it worked for me for almost 4 weeks but others stated it was the best med overall that they had tried.
so find something that works, then breed it with other strains that work for you and before you know it you'll have a selection to go to when the tolerance kicks in. good luck but keep in mind mj is not a magic pill, it won't kill all your pain but rather distract you mentally and offer some relief to the pain.

The best strain for pain and sleep that I grew this year among about 20 strains was Mango from KC Brains...That was just to add my word.

I have 5 different varieties right now, and had a Total Knee Replacement 11 days ago, and not any of them are helping much. And if it does get to feeling a little less painful, then George, my physical therapist shows up and makes me hurt again. I'm feeling sorry for myself tonite cuz I can't seem to get away from the pain. God Bless you who deal with chronic pain, I hope I never have to again. The pain before the surgery was for several years, and this is SUPPOSED to stop in a couple of months. Praying for all of us to be pain free!!

Saturday I ran some OG Kush trim and popcorn into bubble.
Late last night I snuck a pinch and had 2 hits...a sense of pain fading was the last thing I remember.

I woke up this morning, on the couch, bong water spilled everywhere. A FULL nights sleep - pain free! Next time I'm hashing the buds...:eek:
