I grew from Seed [ ] clone [ ] ... both
How many weeks did you veg for [ 6 ] weeks from seed 2 weeks from clone
How many weeks did you bloom for [7] weeks
Number of plants. 6
Germinated 6 seeds in peat pots, all sprouted and grew quite well. germ time was aprox 1 week. In the beginning I was using my well water but had a very big problem with hardness. began having nute lockout about week 3, after which I began using imported RO water from town (my RO system is too small). I grew out the seeds to a height of 10 inches, took clones and flowered the mothers. One plant was male, one did not recover from the calcium overdose. The others went as follows...
Plant 1... Male
Plant 2... Female, short and compact. Solid buds with average growth. finished at 30 inches
Plant 3... Female, tall and leggy. good buds but a little airy. smell and taste were, in my opinion, substandard. finished over 40 inches
Plant 4... very similar to plant 3 but a little taller. finished 48 inches
Plant 5... Hermie but I let it finish. this one became oil. buds were too sparse to be useful. finished 40 inches
Plant 6... died.
The clones I took before flowering the mothers took forever to root in peat pots using RO water and "Kick Start" young plant nutes. Most just up and died. Plant 2 turned out to be the best and first to root. Problem was too much moisture.
The clones did a little better overall than the mothers but aren't as fast or strong as the mothers.
By the 5th week of flowering i had serious space issues and was required to bent the plants to keep them off the lamp. Smell began to be an issue but I don't really mind my house smelling like that, just makes me a little nervous.
During the entire flowering period I was fighting nute burn, heat and ph problems. By the end there were very few fan leaves left as most curled up and died from the burn. It amazed me that the plants could still produce what they did even in the conditions I forced them into.
I apologize for not having all the information requested in the template but this grow was before this reporting was necessary.
As for yield... total dry weight of 2,3 and 4 came in just under 5 Oz.
This strain is definately not for those that want to get it in the head. There was virtually no mental effect. Very clear but coucklock for sure. I developed a tolorance to this strain very quickly as the analgesic effect diminished after a few weeks but the sedative effect remained. really good for sleeping and watching movies but don't try to be active.
Currently, I have IQ2 still in my space and have moved from soil to a 5 gallon F&D using Supernatural Brand grow medium (this stuff is fantastic) and Supernatural Grow Aqua, Bloom Aqua and SuperBoost. With the RO water from town, this amazing medium and the real nutes, my problems previously are nonexistant. The IQ2 is still not as robust as my other plants but seem to be doing rather well. When the hydro grow is finished I'll update the report.
One big thing I noticed when changing from soil to hydro (specifically this system) is the plants do not need as much space for rootballs. The plants I have in the hydro are in far less medium than when I was using soil and are doing much better. With another strain I'm growing, I am getting about an ounce per LITER of medium not gallon (roughly one quarter for those in the states).
Although I really screwed up the first batch of Ice Queen, I don't find this strain to be all that powerful or good for pain. It tasted nice, had a fairly good yield and smoked smoothly. It put me to sleep when my nerves and low back were killing me so that was a definate blessing. I'll be keeping a few of these in my garden but will be moving on to a little more in your head sativa cross.
