For me it has to be cherry bomb 11. Sweet tasting with a hint of fruit. The high is soaring and lasts a reasonable time.

Well so far I have tried for years and years (27 !) the Mex schwag and this year I tried the Afghan LE (that my helper grew out up North a bit),,,wow what a difference in effect!!.The two are completely polarized in their effect. At this point I know that I need a hybrid,,,something to the tune of Indica dominate,,say 75% Ind/25% Sativa.I think Northern Lights #5 sounds close,,at least I'm heading in the right direction.I got an ounce of the Afgh LE,,it won't last long and I'll be crying when it does.I wonder,,I have two strains,,maybe they should meet at my helpers place!! Afghan x Haze!!! maybe I should stop looking LoL!!!Thanks great thread GrassHopper !!

The Butterscotch Hawaiiaan doesnt really taste like butterscotch. It has the most dense crystal formation of any grow I have ever done.I wish I had a high definition camera as this stuff is High Times material.I took a bud out in the sunshine and it glimmerd. You need no magnification to see all the trichs and crystal development.I havent smoked much but popcorn buds as the grow is not ready to smoke after 2 weeks harvest. Its trich dense but does not taste like butterscotch. It tastes so strong of hash I had a friend of mine puke on a hit of kief.I mean hurl after 1 hit.Best hg around here by far and not because I grew it either. Its very high test and I would reccomend it to anyone with an insomnia problem.ZZZZzzzzzzzzBigD

In my co-op strain trading is a weekly affair...so between the co-op and California's clubs, I get to try dozens of strains, making it hard to choose....

1st place: Pine Tar Kush x Diesel (The Giggles) by Green Medicine

A rare and sweet, powerful kush vixen crossed with the most resinous and dense NYC Diesel daddy I've ever seen.
It's been 20 years since I laughed so hard. This strain is great for the blues that come with serious illness! And the bubble from it is almost hallucinogenic...then slips into pleasantly sedating calm and well being.

I shared some with one of my cancer patients who has severe depression and never leaves the house anymore. We vaped, went to the movies and grocery shopping and she was singing a tune for hours.

2nd place: MK-Ultra.

I got some cuttings of MK that are much better than others I've tried.
Great all around medicine with no couchlock. I just like it in the evenings.
Very pleasant taste and good for "body pain".

Special Mention: "Pineapple Patch Pakololo"

One of my co-op partners own Hawaiian Sativa x Blueberry, slow creeping clear high that stops headaches and soothes nerves and stomachs.
Still being stabilized...but the F1's are just fine by me :) Tastes exactly like cherry lifesavers candy!

what was called "Malawi" here in portland 6 years ago. light to pale green, smelled like gym sox, and apeared to have no ceiling.... just just kept getting high and high the more you smoked. very psychodelic and the best sat i have ever had. for me it was in it's own ball park. nothing has compaired before or since.

Wow, my list is easy. I just harvested my Ak-47 and something called J-27 or something like that clones from my co-op guy Micheal over at Mygreenheaven.org. the stuff is strong.....When it was in flower you could definatly smell it. I'm smoking some now and I'd have to say I got a purty good do on this batch.

Im a med-user pothead and love treating myself. Medication time is happy time...Anyway, I am a cancer patient with prostate, colon and liver cancer. Lost a kidney to cancer 5 yrs. ago and contracted hep c while hving it removed. Anyway, I have a lot of different symptoms to treat and use different strains for different problems. I dont think any single lab-made THC product will ever take the place of all the herbs out there. Heres my personal seed bank for treating my problems with a 1-10 rating for effectiveness...Any questions? PM me.... white russian-7 bubblegum-7 kali mist-8 Blueberry-7 yumboldt-7 sage-9 space queen-8 vortex-8 Jack the ripper-9 humboldt snow-5 casey jones( thai-trainwreck/ ecsd)-8 ecsd X G13-10 ogrekush-? ( in first grow now) I'm really excited about these ogkush beans from Seedbay. Just received them....

it wasn't the best weed I smoked all year but it was the first outdoor plant I ever grew. A nine foot monster sativa. She got me through a rough patch by providing me with 13.5 ozs. of bud when I was almost dry!!! :D :D

I would say the best herb i have come across this year was Twilight that was givin to me from a friend and Blueberry from a mail order out of Holland. both for their fantastic Aroma, taste and potency.

I can't remember ... but it was really good.

The unknown bag stuff I grew this year came out real good tho -- I'd say it was the best I smoked (that I remember) in 2005 once it fully cured ... so far

Well i didn't read the whole title stupid me, I talked about the best smoke I ever had. The best smoke of 2005 was the Asia Girl I grew over the summer. I have to say it was a wonderful smoke and grew really well even though there wasn't a tremendous amount of light in the area that it grew, A+!

Had to be Orange Peako X Cambodian. It's the only non-bagweed I smoked this year.
Not great for pain, but gives some relaxation to the body while it spins your brain.

I had quite the year for knocking off strains that didn't work on my tolerance. I didn't add them up but around 60. two came in 1st and no matter how I mark them they come out tied. both lasted 4 weeks on my tolerance which is a new record for me.
OG Kush
Brain Wreck or after smoking it wrain brecked
so thanks a ton to the person responsible, you know who you are.

best of 2005 for me, so far, is Himalayan Syrup excellent almost all Indica that helps me sleep (not for daytime use) from a private breeder in northern california.

for best indica/sativa hybrid, I'd go with Haze X HinduKush, from Willyjack Seeds. Nice big/dense buds that finish in 55-60 days, very flavourful and potent.

medhead, welcome to TY. we have a strain section here where we compile grow and smoke reports, these are very indepth reporting describing the med effects what ailments its effective for and all that. I filed reports for both the og kush and brain wreck, from high grade seeds, a sponsor for TY. these two should be in every med cabinet.

My vote is for a Blackberry Widow picked up at a medical club in SoCal.
Color, trichome coverage, taste & effect were all in the 9-10 range. :D
