Welcome to TY.
As part of your responsibility as a member of TY, you need to make an introductory post. This is to let us know how you are and a little bit about you.
Now, it doesn't necessarily have to be your first post, but you should try and make it before your eleventh post. I myself entered all of the contests before I saw that I needed to make an intro post. Contests? Yes we have contests, but it'll be a bit (how long is a bit? Who can say.) before that forum is up and running again.
Anyway, an introductory post is a bit more then, "Hi, my name is so and so and I'm so happy to be here......"
The idea of this forum is to let us get to know a little bit about you, so that's what I'd like to see. I'm not asking that you disclose your location, state, phone number, real name or anything like that, but you could include what you like to do, what your ailment is (If you have one), if you grow or not, what strains help you cope with what you have, pets, etc. Just little details that let us get to know you better. Now from time to time I might even send you a PM asking you to include a bit more info, just to flesh you out a bit more.
Also realize that from time to time the adminstration goes in a culls the membership. Usually the members that get cut are those with no posts and those who have not made an introductory post. So even if you've made some posts, but not an intro post chances are that you'll get left by the wayside and have to reregister and stuff.
So do your part and let us know who you are.

Hello everyone. This is just a few words to say hello and introduce myself to you and to let you know how I came about finding this wonderful forum.

My name is BigBudDave and I am 43 years old. I live in California and I am a single parent of two 15 year olds that I raised alone since they were three weeks old. Their mother did not want them so I gave her the boot. The twins are wonderful and doing quite well. For myself I had to have back surgery last year due to an injury at work. Subsequently I found that using cannabis helped to relive a lot of the pain as well as fight some of the side effects of the morphine and methadone the doctor gives me. I no longer use them except in rare instances or if I can’t get any cannabis. I also shared this finding with a friend of mine who has the same problem with his back as well as problems with his shoulder, which has a torn rotator cuff. His mother has MS and the both fell in love with my cookies and little gift bags. I told them I would try to keep supplying them as like me they are on a very fixed income right now. I was lucky enough to find a friend that donated two cuttings from his Lavender plant to me. I am growing them and they have about 4 weeks to go until harvest.

After picking up a copy of High Times and Heads last month I saw your add in them. I got on the web to check it out and found what looked like a very friendly community of people more than willing to help each other out. Way cool. I also noticed how you guys were talking about the ad when it appeared and that made me go look at it again. That is when I noticed the part of the add telling about free medical marijuana seeds to qualified patients. I could not believe it. Just what I need too. So I wrote the weed master per the instructions and waited for a reply. This is what I wrote:

Hello,

I am inquiring about the free medical marijuana seeds you advertised in High Times and Heads.

I am a legitimate medical marijuana patient with a valid doctors recommendation to use marijuana. I am not working and have little or no money to buy medicine but would like to grow some. If you still have any seeds I would be glad to share them with other needy patient too.

I wrote that May 26. Eleven days later I still had no response. I figured well it is a real good deal, almost to good, so I better try again in case of a large response to the add. So I wrote:

Just a note to check the status of this as I have had no response. Please let me know one way or the other if your advertisement is real or not.

I immediately got this response the same day:

Hi There

Sorry but due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to temporarily stop sending out seeds

Take Care and Peace
I left the persons name out.

I thanked the person and they wrote back two days later:

So I followed the link and see that now it is starting tomorrow. So I ask you this. Is it worth me sending the money now in hopes that I may get some? By the time it gets to Canada all the seeds will probably be gone will they not? Please advise. I really need some good seeds and am willing to try. 2000 seeds may be gone by the time my letter gets there. Also, where do I post the grow report? Just on line like this? Again please advise and thank for your time.

Hello to everyone out there in TY land i'm a newbie to the site but a veteran to the game.

I am currently dealing with a bad case of the "Doctors don't know whats wrong with me", anyway i've been dealing with Candida and some other aliments for over nine years now and i've just decided to take things back in to my own hands.

I currently reside in AZ the land of the Phoenix Suns, Arizona Diamondbacks, cactus, and very hot weather.

I currently don't grow anything but i'm thinking very hard at starting my garden up after reading and looking at some of the posts from this site.

I am a light smoker i normally only smoke on days when i can't get to sleep.

My hobbies:

I love the outdoors, video games, fishing, martial arts, hunting, women, and life of course but lately my social life has been at a stand still due to some of the side effects of having "Candida". (A Very Bad Case Of Body Odor)

Anyway i'm glad to be aboard.

I am from Brazil, I write the English precariously , but is through sites as this that I get information about grow.

currently I culture with fluorescent light bulbs and ground made with black soil, excrement of earthworm and coco.

I have curiosity in cultivating in soil inert, but I fear that is wrong or in the amount of fertilizer (peters)

I have much curiosity to cultivate one white window, but i dont have money to buy...

I desire to gain some good seeds in the contest...
