I don't know if it will help you but I have had frequent sinus infections for years and I take sudafed (the little red pills) and it does provide a pretty good amount of relief,
Also sending some healing vibes your way.
Get well soon Buddy.

Hoping this passes quickly....and you end up feeling fit as a fiddle!...:)

Wish I could tell you something to help buddyh. Sounds like you're on interferon treatment! Plenty of water..plenty of indica...plenty of rest...and eat what you can.
Hope you're feeling better soon.

I don't know if this would help with a sinus headache, but you might try a jala neti pot to help clean your sinuses. It's a little strange at first, but really does help to clean things out and give you better breathing through the nose.
These guys have a good product that I use from time to time:

Buddy, what I've found most effective for sinus headaches/congestion is ginger root tea. Pure ginger root tea, such as triple leaf (or you could grind some fresh root.)
What you do is steep the ground root or tea bag for 3-5 minutes, using a spoon to squeeze it against the side of the mug. The water will turn milky, almost cream/white.
Nuke it back up to full temp if need be.
Now slurp the tea. You want it to churn and release as much intense ginger vapour as possible. By the third sip you should be feeling some relief. By the end of the mug you should be clearer than you would triple-dosing over-the-counter decongestants.
The only drawback is that it only lasts about an hour at most.
It's also good for a cranky stomach. :)

I too am just coming off that flu. I had it at the same time as coming off neurontin and I thought that was causing the severe reactions, so I slowed it down and prolonged the nausea. I found hot showers with the lights off were good. I couldn't stand the hum of the pc fan when that headache hit me. I couldn't raise my head without getting nausea and had to walk around with a pail everywhere I went. I lost a lot of weight but part of that was due to the drug for sure. guess I'll fill up that extra leg room with newspapers for the winter to keep warm, dam hate this loss of fat layer just before the cold sets in, however will I hybernate being this thin, lol. need some ubc chemo to fix that up and kill the nausea.
has anyone else found a strain that is good for anti-nausea? ubc chemo is really good as I have tried it and others around me said the same.
definitely do not try any new sativa's until this passes, and I wouldn't try anything outside of your circle because you don't want to add to that headache.
I kept a jar of vicks and a bowl of ice water with a cloth, beside the bed and they helped as well.
its only bad for the 1st 3 days then it backed off to where I could get up but the nausea stays for the run of 10 days. drink little sips of clear water or clear jiuce as thats all you'll keep down. good luck

I recommend drilling a small hole in your head. Or better yet, have some chineese guy do it.

I agree, sounds like some pseudoephidrine, and some menthol inhaler. Even breathing some steam or blazin hot showers.
But the FEVER worries me.....do you have medical coverage? I'd hate to see this get worse......

this flu comes with fever. everyone I know who has had it has been hot and bothered, but keep on eye on the temps like GM said as that can be a sign of other problems ie infection. there has been a number of people from my area hauiled in by ambulance because of secondary pneumonia caused by this flu so its nothing to sneeze at, oohhh my a funny, I did a funny did you see that. take two bowls and call me in the morning get well soon

Thanks everyone, well, I finally knocked it back with I don't know how many Excerdrin PM's (that's all I had) and slept a good 9 hours, but now it's creeping it's way back.
But there's a lot of shit coming out of my nose and the fever's gone for now.
I'm not stuffed up, just the sinus.
Thanks Again

Bentylin dm d & E... Buckleys... Robitussin... Tylenol sinus tablets...
Dristdan nasal spray, nasonex...
Any of these may help get rid of the sinus pressure medicine wise...
Standing in a hot shower & steaming your sinuses - repeat this as
many times as needed...
Menthol - Vicks vaporub... Halls cough drops... Echinacea...
Hot tea with honey & lemon...
You know something - you are lucky it hasn't got the GI effects like some flus do...
You'd be running from both ends without relief...
Good luck...
I know I don't want to catch this one...

Thanks all.
I feel like I might be on the downside of this one, though I still feel like crap and still have to work, which is part of the problem. I don't get enough rest.
I've been pouring boiling water over herbs from the garden and some essential oils and covering my head with a towel and breathing it for as long as I can take.
I need to accomplish relief with what I have on hand, I'm completely broke and any money that does surface goes to my kids and trying to keep the bills from getting out of hand.
Thanks again,
Buddy

Thanks GM,
The fever is gone, for good I hope this time.
I usually know when I'm getting better. It's when I get the Sinus Headache. And that's only since I've been here. It's the thing I dread most about getting sick. I mean , hit me bad with the sickness, I don't care but please keep the headache.
Last night it was just unbearable.
I only have about an hour more of work today, then it's relaxing and then I'm going to get my girls and have movie night.
First we pile pillows and mattress on the floor and they spend some time jumping off the couch into them, then we snuggle up and watch movies and then have snugglie, sleepy time.
I can't wait!

Be careful of secondary infections such as Sinus Infections. They get bad enough and all kinds of awful things can happen. Keep an eye on your nose.
I've been pouring boiling water over herbs from the garden and some essential oils and covering my head with a towel and breathing it for as long as I can take.
What kind of herbs? If they help, maybe others would be interested. (Me, I'm just curious.)

Ahhh, sorry.
I just put in what I had, hoping that something would do the trick.
Basil, mint, rosemary, lemongrass, some orange peel, some Frankincense oil, some lavender oil.
But that was just the first time, after that I stuck to Rosemary (I have some drying in the house), orange peel, frankincense and lavender Oils.
Each time, underneath the lavender, I could feel the rosemary getting in there.
If any of them helped, I don't know. As today goes on ,I feel the mother creeping back on me.
