OK,
I was plauged and I mean plauge. I'm talking bibical proportions.
A Moses type plauge. A plauge of Fungus Gnats.
I'm thinking that Fungus Gnats are in the Vampire Family.
And here's why:
Buddyh , i watched a informercial of a Botanist who wrote a book called 1001 ways to keep your garden and lawn pest free with natural products. and in his discussions. he was asked about gnats and other bugs that infest indoor plants, he stated that the best thing you could use was to peel a clove of garlic and place it in your soil with the tip just abouve your soil..i tryed it due to MG soil being the cause of havin those pita flyes, well i was skeptic at first but let me tell you i have not seen even 1 .so it does work, just place 1 clove in each plant you wont be sorry and its not some chemical that could cause you harm...:D
I took one clove of Garlic and peeled it and even cut it in half length-wise and stuck it into two pots. I did this an Hour ago. Now, I see no Fungus Gnats flying around. Well I saw one, but it seemed to be hiding wondering what to do. I even see no Gnats on plants that I didn't put Garlic into.
So when the Larve mature and leave the soil, I hope they leave too, so they won't reproduce anymore, at least not in my MMJ.
So my hat's off to you Chief Tatanka, it worked (so far) like a charm.
So if they make it all the way, I'm going to flush them at the end with tomato sauce and have pizza-uana!! That will go good with the plants I'm going to flush with coffee!!
If you have Fungus Gnats, give it a try!
Thanks Chief 'T'
