Alabama congressman says Bill Maher's remarks "border on treason"

CAPITOL HILL An Alabama congressman says he wants Bill Maher's H-B-O show taken off the air after the comedian made a comment that the military has already recruited all the "low-flying fruit."

Representative Spencer Bachus has taken issue with remarks made by Maher in a show earlier this month.

Maher said on the show that the military has already picked "all the low-flying Lynndie England fruit, and now we need warm bodies." England is the Army reservist accused of abusing prisoners at the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq.

Bachus says those remarks border on treason and that he wants Maher "off the air."

Numerous television stations pulled Maher's previous show, "Politically Incorrect," when he argued that the Nine-Eleven terrorists weren't cowards.

Maher has issued a statement saying he has the "highest regard for the men and women serving this country."

The military and political leaders should be held for treason in the USA, then we need to string up who bought them off

Then there is Harper, if siding with the Bloq is not treasonous I do not know what is.

Hells Bells, Bill Maher is a comedian and one whom I enjoy along with Dennis Miller listening to political commentary. Why can't people just chill and take it for what it is. Political satire and comedy! If the buffoons in D.C. can't even laugh at themselves, they need to get new lives or get a rewire job..... :p

I think the bastards were truly cowards. It doesn't take courage to die for a cause. That is called fanaticism! They were cowards due to the fact that their targets were defenseless citizens, even at the Pentagon, all of the folks were at Peace. It doesn't take any courage whatsoever to kill innoncent, unaware people. In fact, that takes the lowest of the low. May they all rot in hell! Right where they belong......

I agree with Buffalo Bill! However, I do think that before Congress can authorize troop deployment, they should, by law, have to send their own children to fight! That would certainll make them think twice before authorizing a war!!!
