Starting this Friday, there will be a weekend contest that will end sometime on Saturday. Short, Sweet, but complete. I'm a poet and I don't even know it! Help, I'm being possessed by Bob Dylan and I'm not even wearing my leopard skin pill box hat!!!!
Phew, he's gone. Next time your being possessed by Bob Dylan, just start singing some Joanie Mitchell! :)

Anyway, you'll be able to find everything that you need to post a valid entry right here on TY. You might have to look around for a minute or two, but everything you need is right here.

Now the prizes for this contest will have you looking good and reading well.
We're giving away a TY T-Shirt (or is that a TY-Shirt?) and a subscription to TY magazine. There will be only one winner.
I'll post more details as I make them up. I'm still deciding on how to choose a winner, as I'm sure that just about all entries will be valid, so I'll try and come up with something fun and a bit crazy.
How Crazy?
Just remember that I'm Psycho - I can read the minds of crazy people, so I'm well connected.
But I'll post all details as soon as I have them, just so you know what you're getting into.

HI,
OK, now I realize that this Friday - Saturday is the Eve of The Celebration of what did I get and I know that a lot of people will be occupied. So, I'm going to make this first Friday contest fairly easy, so it won't take up too much of your time.
What's the contest?
You'll find out on Friday.

As for picking the winner.
Everyone who who wants to play will get their answers ready before the Saturday Chat (Which is still being finalized) during the chat, I will make a quick apperance and I will ask a question. The first person with the answer to that question, will be allowed to give me their answer to the contest question. If the answer is correct, that person will win. If the answer is incorrect, I'll ask another question and the first person to give the correct answer will then give me their contest question asnswer and so on, until a winner is chosen. NOw folks who have alread given me an inncorrect answer have been eliminated.

Now the questions that I'll be asking will be easy, but enough to take a second to think, so those who's brain's and finger's are working quickest (Sorry Nardwarz :) ), will stand a pretty good chance.

Remember, the contest prizes are a TY-Shrit and a Subscription to TY Magazine, delivered straight to your door.

For everyone who shows up in chat, whether you have the correct answer or not or any answer at all.

I will pull someone's name out of a hat and send them something from my personal supply of things. Don't worry, I won't say what it is, but you will be very pleased when you get it. Call it the 'Surprise Prize' for just showing up. But you have to be in chat when I get there and stay until I'm done. Now remember that y'all are in a different hemisphere then me, so it might require that I wake up to give out the prize. So be gentle with me.

HI,
just an update.
It has been brought to my attention that depending on where you live, what you type and send into the chat room shows up on different people's screen in different orders.
Now this has to do with lag time and proximity to different people computers and some feel like they had the first answer in, when on someone else screen they feel like they did.
So, I just wanted to make this clear to everyone and also to those of you who might not enter chat contests just for this reason. The contest this Friday, were I'll be picking a winner in Chat on Saturday(This contest in fact), will be picked by me. The questions will be typed by me. What this means to all of you is that, I LIVE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD. I believe that lag times will be similar. NO one is really in closer proximity to me then anyone else. The first person who appears on MY screen with a correct answer will be deemed by me to be the first person who responds, no matter how it looks on anyone else's screen.
Anyone who has played on-line deathmatch games knows all about lag time. This has nothing to do with the chat program, but with the internet and how it works.
Do an IP trace sometime and see all of the places a internet signal goes through and you'll get a slightly better picture.
Anyway, this isn't a course on how the internet works, just an update.

I'll try and have the contest question posted as close to 12:01 Am on Friday as I can. If I'm a little late, sorry. If you read one of the other posts that I made today, you'll understand why.
Plus I'm in one of my rare occasions of trying to finish off all of the beer that someone dropped by and I have some major light leak issue that I HAVE to fix and Light Leaks (As well as tonight, drinking beer) come before anything but my little ones.
Anyway, that's all besides the point.
