EX-DRUG USER BACKS USE OF DRUG-SNIFFING DOGS TO CHECK STUDENTS' VEHICLES
ABBOTSFORD - Yvonne King knows first-hand the devastating effects drugs can have on teenagers.
That's why the Grade 11 W.J. Mouat secondary school student is firmly in favour of the Abbotsford school board's decision to allow drug-sniffing dogs to search students' vehicles starting in the 2005-06 school year.
"It's a great idea," said King, who almost died two years ago when she overdosed from smoking a joint that, unknown to her, was laced with cocaine [when she was high she also took several pills that people told her were M&Ms].
