View Full Version : Is it 2 late 2 take cuttings?.

Hi all i currently have 1 critical mass and 1 sweet tooth the mass is a clone and the sweet from seed. they have been in flower for about just over 2 weeks will i still be able 2 take cuttings and can u take cuttings from a clone?.

well yes and no, ya can but itll stress the plant and slow the flowering down could even possibly herm on ya. will it be worth it ?????

Some strains are very hard to clone but yes, you can take clones from clones. You may want to check with more experienced growers but I think if the clone has a bud it needs to be cut off.

Skunk, I've taken clones from a plant that was three weeks into flower with no ill effects on the plant or the clones. Flowering of the clone donor was right on time and potency was unchanged. I've also taken and flowered clones from a clone. Right now I have clone clones rooting, and they're doing just fine.

take your clones they'll do fine.

take clones, don't cut off buds, keep the cuttings in a veg light cycle untill the are completly reverted to vegitive growth (about two weeks after rooting [in a healthy environment])

Two weeks is nothing. Take your clones, dip the ends in rooting hormone, plant in moist soil, cover with plastic wrap and put under lights until you notice growth. Thats all I ever do, and I've cloned plants 7 weeks into flowering(used a bottom branch with hardly any bud growth)
If your plants are really picky they may not take, but you shouldnt have much of a problem if they are only 2-3 weeks into flowering.

the only thing different about cloning in week 2 of bloom is that they tend to take a little longer to root...if you want an alternative to cloning in soil, go to cannabis.com and go to basic growing forum and read Zandor's cloning 101 he makes his own aero-cloner and it is awesome...made one myself...no muss no fuss...peace latewood
