Some would say that they can, and we aren't listening.

I would say that, regardless of whether they can or cannot, there are some people who should be losing sleep over thier decisions and policies.

And if trees can't scream, we will have to make noise for them until those people listen.

Hey Duck,

This prayer was something my Gfather told me and iam sure that there is many ways of making the statement such as the explanation that Raton was good enough to provide. Thank You R! My Gfather was a man of such wisdom and humility that he was the bravest man i have ever known. Full Blood and PROUD all these things he gave to me as a young child up till the day that Oc'neda took him too the clan den and he began his life the way he began it in soo many other lifetimes as the Spirit Of The Woods. I hope that it helps people to think of all the wonders that we dont see anymore as man has lost his eyes to the true Mother and i try with all i have to make it clear that in the trees.animals,bugs and all things that live in the woods and forest of this GreatMother it is we who are the children and they are the wisdom and truth!

They are wise words pj, they need no explanation. Was just looking for the author to see if there were more works. I have written about the spirits of the trees myself, and was very intrigued by the words here. Always good to accredit the author. My inquiry is one good reason for that. Thank you for the fine posting, and for showing us the face of your elder. Heartwarming to know there are still those who pride, and still have not forgotten it.

Hey Swampy,

Absolutely just think with out the trees we would not be able to breath!Do you think they have forgotten this very important human physical need! LOL I pray that the see with the eyes of a child and see not money but a fun place to be and play and even have a nap under those whispering limbs! AAAHHH makes me wish i was 10 again! Thank All Of You For Your Response It Truly Shows That We Are As One! I wrote a song called WillowTree and in this song i included some of the best things that have happened in my life!
