I grew up in the PNW were it really doesn't get all that cold and snowy more like cold and wet. But back when Clinton was sworn in the first time there was an artic blast that came down out of the north. We had 50-60 mph winds and snowing the cold dry snow that swirls around as the wind blows. We had lost power due to the storm so I went over to my moms as she had gas and a woodstove to keep warm with. There was a huge gust of wind and I swear the whole house moved a 1/4 inch to one side well with this gust of wind it blew one of the roof vents out of its mooring. This in turn created a 1'x2' hole in the roof so I had to break out the extension ladder and have my mom hold it steady in the high winds so I could climb up on the snowy ice covered roof. I have read the contest rules. As I am on the roof trying to patch this hole I can hear trees and branches just snapping and falling on the neighbors house, fence and car. So after about 20 minutes and not being able to fix the hole I decided to climb down. As I started to stand up a gust of wind caught me by surprise and hit me hard enough to lose my balance and I fell back and landed on my arse causing me to lose my grip. I than slid all the way down the roof and over the side. Thank the Lord above we had 3 feet of snow to break my fall when I hit the ground.

I have read the rules !
this is when i was a kid because it never snows here in P.R but i remember one time we use to lay in the snow and make angels by moving your legs and harms, slay over a hill and when i was asleep and my parents bought in mac donalds they use to leave my happy meal burger over the stem ( i don't really know the true name , metal tubes together that was in each room and they look like benches) to keep it warm until i got awake. i use to lick the ice points that was made in the end of the roof , sorry i don't remember the name, i remember my dad spreading salt in the side walks, remember this was 21 years ago..................... they were good memorys that i will never forget !
Sincerely .........////////////////

Right now I am freezing typing this as I am in my garage and there is a huge storm outside where the wind is blowing 60 miles an hour and the cold , hard rain is coming in as sheets side-ways.

I'm pretty sure that the coldest winter I ever spent was my summer in Frisco.

i have read the rules..
I walked around alone on a Saturday night downtown Ottawa when the temperature droped below -30.
My girlfriend went out with her friends to get drunk while i stayed home. I dont drink ever but the past few nights i had too.
Living 4 hours away from my nearest source, i couldnt go anywhere to grab some medicine. Sober for 2 days , i was forced to prowl the streets talking to absolute strangers.
I first ended up getting lost and walking opposite directions i was given to arrive downtown. Walking 1 hour in the wrong direction was fun but also losing my buzz (alchohol) in the meantime and aching for a joint was just as great.
2 hours later, walking soberly in the right direction in -33 weather, i ended where i needed to be. Now in the downtown ottawa Market, where i was told maybe i could find some coffee shop or meet some friendly strangers, i decided to begin my mission.
That mission ended really quick when i realized i was the only FOOL walking around in -33 weather with blowing snow. NO luck and no pot. IM hurting real bad and im becoming someone who i havent been before.
Feeling not like myself because i havent smoked in a few days, i decide to get drunk at the nearest bar typically named Urban Well. I drowned my sorrows in that WELL real bad taking double rye and gingers untill last call.
Being sooo cold that night i had no choice but to bundle. Toque, scarf, mitts you name it....
I wore 3 sweaters. Unfortunally i got soo hamered, since i haven drank in years, that i lost my favourite hoodie sweater somewhere between the bathroom toilet bowl at the bar and my place. Dont remember really how it came off or how i ended up back in m place. MY new Razor cell phone also got scatched up in the process.
Word of advice to all those who havent smoked and decide to look around for pot..... make sure you check the weather before you go out..... and alchohol will never replace marijuana.... nothing on the planet can make me feel as good as i do when i smoke......
Last thing....
i eventually found some medicine through friends of friends living 2 hours away one way. So i really ended up driving 4 hours to grab after what happened to me the night before. KInda sucks.... i hope i find friends here fast!
