Any Taxidermists (SP?)?

So, I was driving home last week and in the middle of the road I came across a dead Hawk (Red Tail I believe). So I stopped and got it and took it home. I didn't (And Still don't) have time to do anything with it (I want the wings and tail feathers), so I put it in the freezer.
Question. Did I screw it up? A few years back I found a dead owl and just took the parts that I wanted right there and then, made the proper offerings and then gave it a nice burial, burying personal items with it. At that time, I did nothing specia; to preserve the parts and they survived very well.
Does anyone know if the freezing process will screw things up?
Will the wings get all flakey?
I looked around on the web, but didn't find anything.
And for those of you wondering, I made offerings and prayers at the scene and will bury the remains and make more offereings when I finished.

well buddy i have had a few things stuffed and my guy allways says if i cant get it to him right away to freez them ,and iv watched him do a phesant and when it thawed it looked all ragity ,he put it in a thing he called a "tumbler" wich was nothing more then a moterized drum with sawdust in it ,and when it came out it looked like it was just harvasted . i hope this helps
