Yes! Remember that plant seeds have to winter over. Air tight, cool and dry are the keys. They should be good for a year, then they start to die off slowly. A friend of mine got 75-80% germination with 2 year old bag seeds that had just been stuck in a drawer. I found some ancient seeds I had stashed in a storage box. They were 10 years old and older! Out of about 2 oz of seeds I got 4 seedlings. One month? No problem!

i store mine in the fridge. i know people that store theirs in the freezer, this is only a good option if you never plant on moving really, or at least not for a long option. thawing and refreezing is probably not the best.
with the fridge method, seeds that were viable when i placed them in there remain viable for many years.

I also keep mine in the fridge and there has been very viable for many , many moons, like 5+ years.
