Unhappy Best Strains for Pain and Nausea/Vomiting, Respectively

Right now I'm going through a nasty, painful flare-up which is having some very unpleasant digestive-system symptoms come along with it. Until recently I have avoided too much trouble in the guts but for the past few months it's been really unpleasant and I can't let my guard down for a second with regard to what I put in my body.

I am looking for recommendations....please tell me your preferred strains, from personal experience if possible, for Pain and Nausea!

For me, out of the strains which I have (knowingly) tried -- I don't count the names I was given for black-market bags over the years most of the time because it's usually made-up bull anyway -- I would recommend these:

Pain: White Widow, B-52 Bomber (White Widow x Lionheart), Stardust 13 (Hashplant x G13 x Northern Lights #5, carefully stabilized), G13xButterscotchHawaiian, other G13 crosses

Nausea: Buffalo Stampede (G13xCali Orange, named for a friend), B-52 Bomber, Purple Plutonium Surprise (classic Grape-Purps from Cali crossed with Uranium Cranium and then repeatedly backcrossed with Romulan for purity and ultra-stable phenos) and Silver Plutonium Haze (PPS F1 cross with Super Silver Haze).

My personal experience and I am a chronic pain patient on 340mg of oxycontin daily.I puke ,usually, daily.I have a script for Marinol but it takes too long to work and makes me a tad paranoid. Here is my personal bests in each catagory For pain-White Russian by seriousseeds,M39,Ak-47 x Black Dominia,G13,Granddaddy purple,Butterscotch Hawiaan, and Jack Herer for sleep issues-I have to rely on no name couchlock local middies as the aformention pain strains usually work a little with sleep issues. For appietite-Og Kush, and bubble hash,Sherazade and shiskaberry.I like the White Russian the best all around.I grew out 3 of these 3 years ago and have not to this day smoked it equal.I do however have a 15 pack of beans from seriousseeeds that will now take its place in my future medicine cabinet.I have G13 and Troublemaker 11 days from harvest.I snuck a popcorn bud and dried it in my dehydrater.Yummy and floaty.I was disassociated with pain for roughly 3 hours.Just what the Docotr orderd.Take care and let us know what you decide on-Peace and One Love BigD

i think that the majority of indica strains will help you with you pain and nausea. Unfortunately if you suffer from a tremendous pain that is only helped by indicas you may find yourself sleeping all day or at least burnt out for the larger portion of it.. a good sativa is one that not only energizes you but also helps with pain and they are hard to find...
If you can get your hands on it; Apollo 11; also chocolate chunk was great at reducing my nausea assoc. with migraine while tasting great and not sedating.
I would recommend M39 as well.
Are you looking to buy beans or grab from a local Compassion club?

Default Strains have varied so much...

So far for me....I have tried so many strains. The pain is my largest issue according to all of my doctors. Largely due to the fact that I cannot tolerate ANY legal pharmaceuticals. They have given me morpheine, fentanyl, oxycontin, Tramacet, Percs...the list goes on....all pain meds seem to make me really really sick (triggers my Crohn's nausea) within hours of taking and this effect does not wear off the longer I take them (tried this at my Dr's behest) or when I try to titrate up gradually to the required dose. I also get freaky depressed from pain killers.

My stomach is the biggest problem for me as I can go days without eating and then get so grateful for an appetite I eat too much at once and often late at night is the only time my stomach is calm.

I take 3 mg of Cesamet at bedtime. I use between 10 - 16 g of cannabis a day. I tend to begin with a heavy Indica for the pain and then move to a high (65% or higher) Sativa to stimulate me to move and eat. The biggest thing I found is that although the high sativas are great to get me to eat....if I have them when I am already nauseaous or not near food to eat I can get hunger pangs that are almost worse than the nausea. (juicy fruit, cinderella 99 and mountain med have been the best for this)

For both pain and nausea I loved Blueberry x Hashplant, Zero and Blueberry.

I have not ever been able to try a White Russian and didnt find the white widow to be strong enough for my pain but it did get me moving.

I seem to have a ridiculously high tolerance and require a fair bit to get symptom relief. If I could afford more meds it would likely help. One of my psych reports regarding my brain injury reads....

"This is a woman whose problem on "first cut" is her pain and since she has responded well to cannabinoids it is my professional opinion that she would do better on a higher dose."

Now if only he would sign my MMAR or at the very least a treatment plan forcing my auto insurer to pay for my meds and build me a home garden. I will have my needs and rights one day.

Good luck everyone ...nausea and pain suck - but with cannabis life can get better.
