Default Thinking about buying a Volcano Digit - Need some help!

I'm considering purchasing a Volcano Digit, but I wanted to get some advice before I lay out my credit card.

I know it will be healthier, but will this be more efficient than smoking with a pipe? I'm dealing with these insane SoCal medical prices so I really can't afford it if it's not very efficient. Also, I have Crohn's disease, so I need the CBDs but have read vaping doesn't get that, or at least not as well as it vapes the THC. I'm not so much interested in "getting messed up", but just treating Crohn's, so I hope you understand why I pointed this out

I'm also wondering if I should get the Easy Valve or the Solid Valve? I read someone's post that said the Solid Valve is better if you keep it at home. I would NEVER travel with this, and would use it just for myself. Some people say it's not as good for personal use, but I can't tell if they are just saying that because they could never justify the price on something only used privately. I'm sick of not being able to medicate when I have a cold, like I have today, so this is my primary reason for being interested in a vape.

And please don't suggest anything other than a Volcano Digit, I've looked at others and I'm not the least bit interested, if I don't get the Digit I'll probably just end up using a bong instead.

I have had a Volcano for a few years now and I would NEVER give it up. I have the digital and I like this model as it shuts off after it hasn't been used in a while, which is a nice feature because I sometimes forget to turn it off.

I really like the EASY VALVE as it's easier to change the bags no more messing around with having to fit the bag on properly, which means no more leaky bags.

Anyone that has a Volcano that has tried the other vapes will tell you that this is the unit to get.

Default I havea Volcano as well

I also have one and I think maybe some of my posts may have mislead you.

I have read that the Volcano more efficiently vapes the THC than CBD's but this does not mean that you get no CBD's or that you get more or less "messed up". I am assuming you have read from medical studies that without the CBD's to mediate the THC some people experience a greater sense of intoxication. I firmly beleive that as these studies were done with naive users that this was a pronounced effect.

I have found the odd person to get messed up faster for the first few times they try the Volcano but this is not a lasting thing either - like all things we develop a tolerance to the form in which we medicate and what medication we take. Overall - though I cant seem to vape alone - some days my lungs ache more from the lack of humidity in vaping and I vape so much that over time I cough and have a sore throat more than with smoking - I also would never do without my Volcano Digit and travel with it frequently. I also need the auto shut off as I often forget and left my Classic on all night wasting hydro and getting the unit burning hot.

As for the bags - this is such a preference thing. I have found that you CAN take apart the easy valve and rebag it if you are cheap but it is a fair bit of work to get the bags on right with this one!!!! I did it just because someone wrote that you couldnt. They are lighter and the chamber itself is shaped better to get all your meds vaped without dumping them out and re-grinding or stirring like I did with the solid valve chamber. The chamber for the solid is taller and narrower so the meds sit on top of eachother more.

    I hope this is helpful.

Thanks for pointing out some of the differences between the Easy Valve and the Solid Valve system. I'm leaning towards the Easy Valve now, and the auto shut off is definitely something I'll want from the Digit. I wasn't aware that vaping can cause coughing from low humidity, so perhaps I could get a small bubbler to switch off between vaping to balance things out.

I also forgot to ask where the best place to order one from is?

    Default I'm in Canada..

...and I ordered mine from Planetary Pride for a VERY good price. As a med user they offered me a very reasonable discount and gave me things with my order for free as well. Their service was FAST, FRIENDLY and SECURE. (Thanks Rob)

I also would have ordered from Kelly from KDK ....... there are others but these two are at the top of my list from previous shopping attempts or experiences.

    Good luck!!

Default if u like a bong then aromed is good

I was always a bong user till I got my aromed. It has water to help keep particles from your lungs it is digital and small and is all glass except the tube u inhale through. It is 100 or more bucks cheaper then volcano...

THe aromed is efficent and works with a halogen light bulb. I have yet to replace the bulb in over a year of heavy use. I like the fact that it has the feel of a hookah and works much better for single user then volcano. Maybe having the water will help in humidity problem. I drink lots of water as I vape. It does help cut down on amount and if you can bake with remains it sorta gives u 2 for price of 1.
Dont want to get you confused but I would definately read up on aromed at www.aromed.com
good luck and at 400 bucks vs 600 thats a 1/2 of buds to start trying it out....

Default I think they are trying to help you ...

    ...with your "humidity" options.

I find my Volcano just fine for personal use and cant figure why someone wouldnt like it for themselves. I love the bag system and have to refill it plenty. Perhaps those that think it is only a party device just dont medicate enough. I dont walk around with my bags....they are empty in three pulls and re-filled many many times one after the other all day long.

I also have found that the oils seem to work better in the new easy valve system as well. The solid valve had to have the pads wedged in (cause I didnt order the liquid valve) and I found them hard to get out and it never seemed to be hot enough to use it up. I found it worked better today when I tried with the easy.

I use a bong or a joint or a bubbler pipe for days when my lungs ache and my Volcano for all other times. Joints and Vapor Genie when away from home.

Na, I'm in the US. Thinking about volcanovaporizerdirect.com, or should I just go through the official www.storz-bickel.com? I'm not sure who would offer a better deal, if either.

Is anybody able to get any discounts on these still? I called one place up and they said they couldn't come down on the price because they aren't getting anymore shipped due to customs problems, however, I thought that issue was resolved a long time ago?

Just seems like they were using that old news as a BS reason to avoid any discount. I'm still not convinced I need to be spending $700 on this

What I read was that they were stopped briefly, but a few days later were allowed in. I think that was in January or December, haven't read anything new lately. Looks like I might have to pay full price if I do get one.

How does a volcano smell? Is it as smokey as regular smoke from a pipe? I was wondering if vaping would reduce the smell for when I have company over.

well i'm guessing your talking about cannabis. the vapor is not Smokey smelling or tasting at all it just smells like you just opened a fresh jar of weed in the room. there should be no detection problems with a little vape session here and there in the work place. smells fade very quickly from the volcano rather than cheaper vapes. vaporizing only releases thc, a virtually orderless chemical, and other active aroma ingredients ( the smell of the herb).
    good vaping,

Thanks, that's what I was hoping. I'm also hoping I can give myself the excuse that less smoke should mean cleaner teeth, no clue if this is true, but come on, I'm still looking for enough reasons to justify $700 on this lol. I might have to wait a while, but eventually I'll get one!
