    Default 420eh's Medi Kush

Here are some pictures my Medi Kush.

i got these girls up and going the same time i started the other strains, so they are baby pics as well. they are grown in a true living organic soil.

no salt or organic based food are used. soil is recycled with lots of minerals (green sand, rock phosphate etc) kelp and guano's added to it. once mixed it then brews together in a tote between gardens.

micro beasts are added during the potting process, during some waterings and as well through homemade organic teas.

future pics will include how they are layered during the repotting process

they are presently under florescent lights.

in the background you can see some of my natural ingredients that i feed my soil and plants with. this includes egg shells and mulch. i also give them ground up dried veg and fruit scraps/peels that you can see drying on the rack behind the plant. since i recycle my soil i feed these these scraps to the life in my soil. this all happens early during the brewing stage of the recycling soil procedure i'm using.

these two pics are of the bottom of my containers.

the one is of the bottom of my containers. you will see i have put some dry food on the bottom. it consists of blood meal, kmag and an AP mix.

the other picture is one of the different ingredients i have added. in it you will find some vermiculite, perlite as well as a coco mix, sea soil and some cow manure.

in this photo i'm mixing all the ingredients in by hand. after i have blended in the manure and coco i then add other dry ingredients. here i demonstrate the one handed mix method. it's like running a cement mixer as my hand stays still while the other hand rotates the pail around and around.

the extra hand is my trainee.

the second shot is a picture of some roots. i took this shot just as i was about to lay it down on that nice mixed up lower layer of soil.

once the root ball is placed in the container, i then put in some "base soil" up to the midpoint of the root ball.

you can see in the picture of the blue pail the top layer soil. i mix in some coco, sea soil, mushroom compost and some worm castings before adding in some dry ingredients.

once the container is filled up, i then put in my spikes.

these are called "food spikes" which are filled with many dry ingredients. i'll use blood meal, guano's, used tea, used coffee and other items to top things up.

some of these ingredients are layered when i put them in while other spike formulas have me mix them together before pouring them in.

one pic is of my spike making instrument that doubles as my ph pen.

a few pics of me pouring the dry ingredients into the hole

while there are a couple of pics that show the top of the container. in the pic you can see the 4 spike holes and one of my container crawlers.

once everyone is settled down i will give them a homemade tea.

the tea is this picture is an all purpose tea i put together.

one pic is of the worm castings floating in the water. the water has a bubblier place into it to supply oxygen to the micro life.

another shows some of the AP ingredients floating on top as the spoon drips. the spoon was used to place in the big bloom, liquid karma, fish ferts and the molasses. here it is shown dripping the excess into the tea.

while another shows the foam forming on top as life happens below.

before all this is done i "brew" my soil for up to 60 days as i recycle all my soil. during this time the scrap food products get broken. other elements like the rock phosphate and the kmag enjoy the extra time as well.

"the basic soil" i mention above in a post, is a soil, i premix from the brewed soil with some added dry ingredients to it.

below are 2 pics of one of my medi kush plants.

one pic is of the plant and the other is of the top section of the same plant.

as my citrus grow i applied to much ph buffer to this plant. it just didn't suffer as bad, but it did suffer. an explanation as to what happened can be found there my citrus skunk grow report.
