whos got a ruler?
I am broke right now and cant afford a bulb for my 400 hps till next week or the week after. However I would like to finish my batwing reflector. What I need to know is the length from the center of the filament to where the glass connects to the metal base. I have drawn what i need on the attatched pic. Thank you.

ive got a 400 hps bulb i can go measure in a few minutes its stll sleeping right now ... do you need exact measurements are general?

4 and 1/2 inches from the middle of the filament to the top of the base were the glass starts .... hope this helps ya out..!!

I have to get my bulb first. Im not going to do a workup on how i built my light and then find out I did it wrong. It will be sweet trust me on that, I am going too air cool the ballast. Are any store bought ballasts fan cooled? Give me a couple weeks and I will show yall how to build a 400 w hps better than the store bought ones for about half the cost.

If you need a 400w hps bulb let me know, i just bought a new 400w ballast on ebay and it came with 3 bulbs and i already had 1 from my old ballast. Ive had good luck with my bulbs lasting over a year each. PM me with your info and ill mail it out to you.
Even those without purpose can find purpose in not having a purpose
