A routine traffic stop led Laval police to the discovery of a marijuana grow operation hidden in an automobile repair shop.
Police pulled over a woman driving a van on Monday afternoon, and inside her vehicle discovered 50 kg of packaged marijuana.
After questioning she let slip that the drugs had come from a warehouse in Laval's St. Vincent de Paul neighbourhood
Officers then raided the building, located at 1245 Godin St., which is identified as 'Automobiles Therrien' and discovered more than 800 mature marijuana plants.
They spent the night seizing the plants, along with hydroponic growing materials and other drug paraphernalia.
