Well even if he don't put in the time, TY can still comeback. I don't want to speak for him but I think he just has too many pots on the burner so to speak. But there needs to be someone else that is an admin and has a presence on the forum. Forum admin is a full time job in itself. Especially on a large forum.
If I was approached with some sort of compensation, I would have no problems handling day to day operations as well as supporting server issues remotely in a full time manner. I have helped out at other sites without asking anything in return. But when I am only donating my time, I try to limit the amount of time a day I spend on a project so I don't have to rush my projects that are paying.
I have also done work on several other forums like I have begun here at TY, and I can honestly tell you that this kind of work isn't cheap at all, there are many hours of reading code, manipulating it and then testing it across multiple browsers, etc. Because I am doing this pro bono, I don't have the support of the people I normally work with when I rework a site. They like to get paid, lol!

Granted my good friend Ironmaiden7000 who just signed up here has already offered his assistance for a new feature that will be added soon. That I will run by Marco soon.
So I have been doing live, on the fly updates to the templates vs running it on a development server. I do have a development server that is a complete copy of TY as of the last db dump I ran a few days ago. But I am only using that to rebuild the 3.x db to a new 3.8.7 db. That is why I have posted threads for feedback and bugs. Essentially I am making the community be my testers
