Man am I Pissed!!

Well I am at the airport and I didn't meet up with a TY member whoo was going to lend me their digital camera. I waited in the cold wind for over 1 hour and now my ears hurt like a BITCH! Next thing that happens is when I get back inside to go through the security check area WELL wouldn't you know it I get STOPPED, My bag gets opened up and this young guy sees my business cards and starts in on me and I am in no mood for his BULL SHIT so he asks me if I have anything in my bag and i told him even if I did he COULDN'T DO SHIT! Next thing you know he finds over 600 packs of seeds and starts in on me again and I said look I showed you my permit so again there is NOTHING you can do and he walks off with all my seeds and goes to get his supervisor which at this point I am FURIOUS and shout THOSE ARE LEGAL AND YOU CAN'T TAKE THEM AWAY FROM ME! Well you know what I got the seeds back the guy took 1 of my business cards and I SAID HEY WHILE YOU ARE AT IT TAKE 1 OF THESE LOL I hand him issue #1 of TY and said HAVE A NICE DAY AND i WALKED AWAY

Anyways it took me 15 minutes just to writee this on a stupid computer termina at the airport

When a careless driver rear ended me as I was waiting at a red light. Guy was driving a pickup truck and from his story to the cops "wasn't even able to try to stop" guess he was daydreaming. Unbelievably no charges were laid, even though I have 2 independent witnesses, and no skid marks of him trying to brake, don't know if his brakes worked at all, nobody checked em. Pretty shoddy considering they do random vehicle safety spotchecks delaying you randomly, yet an accident like this and nobody bothers to check the safety of a beat up 1991 pickup? Gotta see my doctor tomorrow, neck and shoulders hurtin, guy hit me so hard he broke my driver's seat in two.

Sorry I could'nt make it to the airport Marco, but I was delayed for 4 hours dealing with all the bullshit from the cops and tow companies, rental car comapny, etc.etc...

The guy from the airport went home and put the magazine down on the table on the way in the door. He had an awful day. Nothing seemed to go right and he dreaded the trip to the hospital tonight to see his child laying there on life support.
He was sure they were headed for a divorce. The strain was just too much and their financial problems insurmountable.
He knew he was sick. He could feel it inside of him. Something was dreadfully wrong, but he had to keep going for the sake of his family. Now he wondered if it were all worth it.
When his wife got home that night she noticed a magazine laying on the table.

You see, the story may take many turns Marco. Only God can write the whole story and tell it as a true story. I can only fabricate a story. Who knows though? Maybe it was all for a good reason. You are being used by something beyond our limited perspective, there is no doubt what so ever in my mind. Remember, God also uses our mistakes as well as our victories for his own use.

Coco, it doesn't matter how crappy a day someone has -- leave the shit at home and don't take out your problems on customers and co-workers. There is no point to making everyone you encounter have a crappy day just because you're in a pissy mood.

(Not you personally, of course, but our not-so-friendly security agent with their jackboot mentality. Far more likely is that it was another one of the pseudo-jar-heads that get a power trip from working security.)

I agree Groo. You are preaching to the choir. He made a mistake though and cannot God use it if God sees fit? I am sure you would agree that the universe has a way of passing on the good words of TY. That woman could take that magazine to the hospital (in my story) that's the point.

I wouldn't want to have a job where I had to deal with the public all day long, everyday, with no end insight. Usually the people at such jobs, turn bitchy, because they have to deal with the general public, most of who are pretty bitchy, demanding, and feel that their point of view is the right one and usually don't stop to think that the poor SOB is only doing their job.
Like MArco said. He was standing outside freezing for an hour, his ear hurt and he had no camera. In short, he was very pissed off, and even said that he was in no mood for the guys BS, so you arrive with this attitude to someone who is probably dealing with attitudes like this all day long, and he's not in the mood for anyone's BS either.
So what happens?
Confrontation.
I'm glad that it had a happy ending, but is it so mysterious why but of the people in the story were in bad moods.
I used to love to go to the DMV. The long lines?
No, silly.
When I got to the window, I'm looking at a real tense person, whose heard sob stories and bitching all day long.
I'd say 'Hello' in a nice friendly voice and start my transaction, always being nice.
If a problem arose, I wouldn't get mad, I'd say, 'Listen, I know it's not your fault, your just like me, we work, right? Is there anything thing that you can do to help me out?
Can you please help me? If you can't no problem, I understand, but if there's anything that you can do, that would be great.' All with just the slightest hint of pleading in my voice. It's amazing what effect that would have. Someone actually being nice, after standing in line for an hour and asking for my help.
Try it. It's nice and yes, it is compassionate.

Anyway, Hashimoto, I'm feeling for you. Looks like you took a big hit.
