New cd by:Avenged Sevenfold-City of Evil

I was just floppin around dowloading new music and i ran across this new band
Avenged Sevenfold
They have alot of vocal harmonys to alot of dual harmony shredding guitar solos,nice hooks in some songs..Basicly a melodic metal band but im kinda digging it maybe ya heard the Song Bat Country thats being played on radio these days over all pretty damn good cd...chk it out
Seems im listining to this more then the new System of a down Hypnotize witch some of that cd is ok as well

i always critisize music as i been playing guitar over 20 years and have a few cds out and been on a few tours as well as a Soundman for national acts that play thru my town (my weekend job ya can say heheh)wrked with Kid rock,ICP, Anthrax to Slayer,coal chamber,Gwar,nonpoint,The Murderdolls,kotton mouth,ect ect
the list goes on basicly wrked with a crapload of bands sine thats what i do
lol even Blues traveler

thought id pass along a cd i was chkn out thats pretty heavy and dont sound tooo bad and alot of changes to it,hope some would enjoy it

I saw Avenged Sevefold in the summer of 2003 just before their 2003 album was to be released, i saw them along with God Forbid and some other band cant remember the name it was like a 20 person show, i thought they were decent, they didnt steal the show but they put on a good performance. I thought their 2003 release was ok not great but good. the new one fails IMO the vocals are really annoying i just cant get passed the whinney vocals but their are some nice riffs here and there i'll give them that.

it's a pretty good cd. i liked them more when the vocalist had a little more grind....but then again, that's what eventually blew out his voice and forced him to sing clean. definitely a few rocking tunes.

if you like a7x, you should check out atreyu. different idea, but similar sounds. basically what i like to call emocore.
