    Default L.E.A.P. is touring Canada

    SPRING TOUR COMING YOUR WAY

We tour often and beginning to do more in Canada. Norm Stamper is going
to Abbotsford and, Edmonton, Vancouver and Calgary this spring. We have
a new speaker who lives in London Ontario and I believe he'll be able
    to
do some 2-3 day tours. maybe we can get one over your way.
Do you have any contacts at local colleges/ Often, that is how we pay
for tours by asking a college to pay an honorarium and travel expenses.

See if you can get them to come by your way.

    Contact: Mike Smithson
    speakers bureau coordinator http://www.leap.cc/
The newest LEAP Speaker from Canada is from London, Ontario and his name is Jim Watkin.

Jim has a very diverse and interesting background with Outreach programs for Street Workers and liasons with Police Forces in his area of the Country. He is the third man and the fourth Speaker that LEAP has retained in Canada.

Jim's life partner Becki Brooks, an American by birth, volunteers and helps me with my LEAP gigs and KNOWS she is doing the right thing.

Norm Stamper and some of the other men in LEAP have been asked to come to Canada by some of us, as they are in a better position to reach some of the LEO's than we are.

Funny, but being a woman AND being in a Wheelchair at these Gigs - DOES make a difference I politely reminded them.

Shame that SOCIETY does this to us. Thank GOD - that LEAP doesn't. Hopefully Jim and others won't run into such blatant discrimination on this Job. I'll change things...

These are incredible people that I am woking with and I feel honored to know we are in the same organization, and doing the SAME job and that THEY actually wanted ME ...

If everyone does their part and recommends LEAP speakers everywhere across Canada - we WILL Win this War on Drugs!

Thank you everyone for taking the time to be educated in this despicable war on People.

See you at the next Gig!

    Love and a squish,
    Alison Myrden

    Thanks for the snip Alison
It is always wise to stop wishing for things long enough to enjoy the fragrance of those now flowering

Very cool. I firmly believe that the opinion of our newly elected Gov't is NOT indicitive of the average Canadians view on MMJ, or even MJ in general. I think that the public is ready and willing to be educated about MJ, but they don't want to be duped by those who may be biased.
L.E.A.P. may be just the group to get the message across to those who remain suspicious of the average toker.
I know for a fact that we're a gentle and forgiving society, and unafraid to blaze new trails in any direction. Unfortunately, our gov't is a bunch of cowardly wimps who can't wipe their own asses without taking a poll to see if they're doing it right.
I, for one, can't wait to hear about where L.E.A.P is making an appearance, and going to colleges and universities is a very smart move. Education is best served to the youth who will soon be calling the shots.
My 18 year old son is a good example of that-- he's not a user (he's very conservative) but he's totally against prohibition. He knows first hand that people who use MMJ are NOT criminals and the war on drugs is actually a war on people-- people who are easy targets because they are gentle and commited to the cause.
    Sorry for the novel.
    Go LEAP go!
