This has got to be a problem too.
Every doctor in Canada should
willingly prescribe cannabis for certain approved ailments(cancer, MS, arthritis, etc)
with just a simple patient request. It shouldn't be such a big deal to search out a willing doctor; it shouldn't be some elaborate combination of begging, pleading, crying, luck, etc.
You want a vasectomy? Ask any doctor for it. Get it.
You want viagra? Ask any doctor for it. Get it.
You want opiate pain relief? Ask any doctor for it. Get it.
You want ___________? Ask any doctor for it. Get it.
But cannabis? Oh no. It's such a big friggin' deal!
Since cannabis is a Constitutionally recognized medication, it should be our right to access it as freely as other medications are dispensed. Are we being discriminated against because of our belief in natural treatments versus artificial pharmaceuticals?
There is a barrier to our Constitutional right. Imagine a long wall of black- suited SWAT team personnel, forming an invincible barrier with their raised shields; now imagine a long wall of white-suited doctors, forming an invincible barrier with their raised clipboards. This is what we are up against.
Just as a SWAT team may breach our Charter Right to Freedom of Peaceful Assembly, this wall of doctors breaches our Charter Right to Life by denying us Constitutionally approved medication.
Mr. Harper, tear down your wall!
